Henri Cuvelier (1 June 1908 – 25 January 1937) was a French water polo player who competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics. [1]
Nikolay Mikhaylovich Maksimov is a Russian water polo goalkeeper, who played at the 1996 Summer Olympics, on the silver medal squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He was the top goalkeeper at the 2004 Olympics, with 67 saves. He competed as part of the Kazakhstan National Team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Before his Olympic career, he won bronze medals at the world championships in 1994 and European championships in 1997.

Hungary has been the most successful country in men's tournament, while the United States is the only team to win multiple times at the women's tournament since its introduction. Italy was the first to win both the men's and women's water polo tournaments.
Miguel Ángel Oca Gaia, better known as Miki Oca, is a former Spanish water polo player, who was a member of the national team that won the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Four years earlier he won the silver medal. He is the current coach of the Spain women's national water polo team. He led the team to win an Olympic silver medal in 2012, becoming one of a few sportspeople who won Olympic medals in water polo as players and head coaches.
Dubravko Šimenc is a former Croatian water polo player who competed for both Yugoslavia and Croatia, and later water polo coach.
Vladimir Gojković is a Montenegrin former water polo player and current water polo coach of Montenegro national team. He won silver medal as a member of the Serbia and Montenegro team in Athens in 2004. He was a member of the Montenegro men's national water polo team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. The team reached the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Hungary and finished fourth in the end. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he again played for Montenegro, who again finished fourth, losing to Serbia in the bronze medal play off.
Henri Padou was a French water polo player and freestyle swimmer. He competed in water polo at the 1920, 1924, 1928 and 1936 Summer Olympics and finished in 9th, 1st, 3rd and 4th place, respectively. In 1920 and 1924, he also participated in the 100 m and 4 × 200 m swimming events but failed to reach the finals. In 1970 he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in the category water polo.
Igor Hinić is a Croatian former professional water polo player, who was a member of the Croatia national team, that won the silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Mario Fiorillo is an Italian former water polo player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics, in the 1988 Summer Olympics, and in the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Valentino Gallo is an Italian water polo player who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. He was part of the silver medal-winning team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He is currently playing with AN Brescia in Italy.
Guillermo Molina Ríos is a Spanish water polo player who competed for the Spain men's national water polo team in four consecutive Summer Olympics (2004 Athens, 2008 Beijing, 2012 London and 2016 Rio. He was the joint top goalscorer at the 2016 Olympics, with 19 goals. Afterwards he competed for Italy men's national water polo team in the 2018 Men's European Water Polo Championship. He helped Italian water polo club Pro Recco win the LEN Champions League in 2009–10 and 2011–12 season.
Nadezhda Sergeyevna Glyzina is a Russian female water polo player. She was a member of the Russia women's national water polo team, playing as a driver. She was a part of the team at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. On club level she played for Kinef Kirishi in Russia.
Paul Henri Vasseur was a French freestyle swimmer and water polo player. He competed in water polo at the 1900, 1912 and 1920 Summer Olympics and finished in third, fifth and ninth place, respectively. At the 1906 and 1920 Games he took part in the 4 × 200 m, 400 m and one mile swimming events, but failed to reach the finals.
Henri Peslier was a French Olympic water polo player.
Jean Raymond Henri Thorailler was a French male water polo player. He was a member of the France men's national water polo team. He competed with the team at the 1912 Summer Olympics and 1920 Summer Olympics. Thorailler was given the honour to carry the national flag of France during the opening ceremony of the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, becoming the fourth water polo player to be a flag bearer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics.
