Herbert S. Snyder (born September 7,1953 in Winchester,Virginia) is a former Democratic member of the West Virginia Senate representing District 16. [1]
Snyder served as a Jefferson County Commissioner from 1990 to 1996,when he was elected to his first term in the State Senate. He was reelected in 2000,defeating future Jefferson County Commissioner Greg Corliss. In 2004,he was defeated in the primary by former Ranson,West Virginia,Mayor Greg Lance,who went on to lose the November election to Republican John Yoder.
When Yoder announced he would run for State Circuit Court Judge in 2008,Snyder announced his bid for a third term. He defeated businessman Bob Adams,a Republican,in the November 2008 election.
After being elected to a fourth term in 2012,Snyder expressed interest in running for West Virginia's 2nd congressional district in 2014. [2]
Snyder is a chemist and operates Hydrochem Labs. [1] He lives in Shenandoah Junction,West Virginia,with his wife Stephanie. [1] The couple has six children,one of whom,Rod Snyder,is a former president of the Young Democrats of America.
In the 2016 election,Snyder did not run for re-election to the state Senate,instead running unsuccessfully for the office of Jefferson County Clerk. [3]
Robin Jean Davis is an American jurist who served on the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. First elected to fill an unexpired term in 1996,Davis later won full twelve-year terms in 2000 and 2012. However,Davis retired before the end of her second full term in August 2018 after the West Virginia House Judiciary Committee named Davis in articles of impeachment during the Impeachment of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.

Shelli Renee Yoder is an American politician serving in the Indiana Senate for Monroe County,Indiana from Senate District 40. A former Miss Indiana and a Miss America 1993 contestant,Yoder has held positions at a number of nonprofit organizations. She was the Democratic nominee for the United States House of Representatives in Indiana's 9th congressional district in 2012 and 2016. However,she was defeated both times by Republicans:first by Todd Young and then by Trey Hollingsworth. In June 2020,she won the Democratic primary for Indiana state senate district 40. She was elected on November 3,2020. She was sworn in on November 17,2020.

Robert D. Beach is an American politician and a Democratic member of the West Virginia State Senate representing District 13 since January 2011. Beach was also the Democratic nominee for West Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture in 2020. Beach served consecutively in the West Virginia Legislature's House of Delegates from January 2001 until January 2011,and non-consecutively from his May 1998 appointment to fill the vacancy caused by the passing of his father,the late Delegate Robert C. Beach,until December 3,1998,in the West Virginia House of Delegates within the 44 Delegate District.
