"Here Comes That Day" is a song co-written and recorded by Siouxsie, for her 2007 solo album Mantaray . It was released as the album's second single in the UK on 29 October 2007. [1] It was critically acclaimed upon release.
The song has been described by music critics as "pop noir", [2] a "Shirley Bassey-strut", [3] a "brass-festooned swagger", [4] "moody and sultry jazz-tinged number" [5] and a "brassy, withering put-down of some unfortunate, sniveling weasel, whose duplicity is exposed in no short order". [6]
The single received critical acclaim. MusicOMH named "Here Comes That Day" as one of several tracks on Mantaray which should be an "instant hit". [7] The Guardian rated it as one of the singles of the week, describing it as "60s pop, replete with severe and sexy vocals", it "aches with a lifetime of insight and colour, yet still manages to sound refreshing and original". [8] Manchester Evening News wrote that it was "the best [James] Bond theme that never was. Brassy and theatrical", "it strongly recalls and indeed surpasses classic Shirley Bassey". [9] Walesonline rated it as one of the 3 best singles of 2007 saying, it was the "standout highlight" from Mantaray with "dramatic blasts of brass and killer beats." [10]
"Here Comes That Day" was named "Single of the Week" on BBC Radio 2 on 15 September 2007. [11] Due to its popularity, the track entered the UK Singles Chart prior to the official release date, peaking at number 93, but failed to remain in the top 100 following the full release of the single, and fell to number 103.

After her first solo tour in 2004, Siouxsie wanted to collaborate with other musicians. She met Steve Evans and Charlie Jones, both of them arranged the songs and produced the record.

"History Repeating" is a song written by Alex Gifford and originally performed by Propellerheads featuring Shirley Bassey in 1997. The single was a #1 hit on the UK Indie Chart, and was also Bassey's first top ten appearance on any US chart since 1973's "Never Never Never", making #10 on the US Dance Club Chart. According to Bassey, Gifford wrote the song especially for her. It was released shortly before the Propellerheads album Decksandrumsandrockandroll, released in 1998 by Wall of Sound in Europe and DreamWorks in the US and Japan. The song is a fusion of several different styles of big beat, breakbeat and jazz combined with the powerful vocals of Bassey. It samples from the soundtrack of the 1968 Russ Meyer film Finders Keepers, Lovers, Weepers!. The sleeve cover, an illustration by Duke D. Jukes, takes its inspiration from classic album sleeve from the Capitol 1957 release Just One Of Those Things (album) by Nat King Cole.

"Boys and Girls" is a song by English recording artist Pixie Lott, released as the second single from her debut album, Turn It Up. It was released digitally in the United Kingdom on 5 September 2009 by Mercury Records as an iTunes EP, followed by an iTunes single on 6 September and a physical release on 7 September. Similarly to "Mama Do ", the track was also strongly supported by BBC Radio 1, becoming Lott's second consecutive single to feature on the station's A-list. "Boys and Girls" became Lott's second consecutive number-one single, topping the UK Singles Chart in September 2009. The Performance is an album by the Welsh singer Shirley Bassey, released on 9 November 2009. It is her first studio album of original compositions in three decades. The album was executive produced by music executive Paul Carey and English film composer David Arnold co-produced the entire album with Mike Dixon. Songs on the album were written specifically for Bassey by renowned writers such as Rufus Wainwright, Gary Barlow and Pet Shop Boys. The recording of the album became the subject of a BBC documentary titled The Girl from Tiger Bay named after the song written for the project by James Dean Bradfield and Nicky Wire of Manic Street Preachers. The album gained favourable reviews and was certified gold in the UK for sales of over 100,000 copies.
