"Higher & Higher" is a song by The Blackout, featuring Hyro Da Hero. It is the first single to be released from the band's third studio album Hope , on 4 February 2011. [2] BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe chose the single as his "Hottest record in the world" on 2 February and gave the song its first radio play. [3] On 28 March 2011 it was re-released, this time with two b-sides, a 'Tek One Remix' and a Live recording from their Nottingham Show on the My Chemical Romance World Contamination Tour.

Music video

The music video was directed by the music video team Sitcom Soldiers, who have previously worked with the bands Young Guns and You Me At Six. It features the band packing their equipment away into a van when a woman gets in the front and drives off. As she is driving off, the band's tour manager (played by British gymnast and free runner Damien Walter) comes out and notices the truck leaving so he engages in a chase through the streets of Manchester. The band are seen playing throughout the song inside the van with Hyro Da Hero appearing on the side of the van for his rapping verse.

Invaders Must Die (song)

"Invaders Must Die" is the eighteenth single released by the British electronic band the Prodigy. It was released from the band's website as a free digital download on 26 November 2008. It was the first single from the album Invaders Must Die. The download was announced on 24 November, in a newsletter sent to fans, and first aired on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show as his 'Hottest Record in the World' on 26 November. The song was co-produced by Does It Offend You, Yeah?'s James Rushent. Liam Howlett described this to the Dubai edition of Time Out as: "a very abrasive-sounding electronic track, kind of different to anything we've done before." Although not being a commercial single the track charted at 49 in the UK Singles Chart on 1 March 2009, whilst the Chase & Status remix reached 53 in the Australian Aria Singles Chart and 7 in the Aria Dance Chart. On 30 November 2009 the re-amped version by Liam was released as an EP with the B-side Mescaline, and Thunder remixes.

The Blackout (band) Post-hardcore British band

The Blackout were a post-hardcore band from Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, formed in 2003. They released their EP The Blackout! The Blackout! The Blackout! In October 2007 the band released their debut album, We Are the Dynamite. Their second record, The Best in Town, was released on 25 May 2009 in Europe and 23 June 2009 in the US, both via Epitaph Records. The band's third album - titled Hope, was released on 4 April 2011, and charted at number 27 in the UK album chart. Their fourth studio album, titled Start the Party, was released on 21 January 2013. The Blackout's final release was a five track EP entitled Wolves, with their farewell tour held in early 2015, finishing in their hometown of Merthyr Tydfil on Saturday 28 March 2015.
