Hindsight is a 2022 adventure video game developed by Team Hindsight and published by Annapurna Interactive. Players relive the memories of a woman who had a complicated relationship with her mother, who recently died.
After her mother's death, Mary returns to her family house. There, players relive Mary's memories, spanning from childhood to adulthood, as she packs her mother's possessions. Selecting objects triggers memories, which players can interact with. Narration explains these past events and how they affected Mary. As players trigger more memories, they learn about Mary's complicated relationship with her mother. [2]
The game was developed by Team Hindsight, led by Joel McDonald who previously worked at Raven Software and developed Prune. [3] Annapurna Interactive released Hindsight for Windows, macOS, Switch, and iOS on August 4, 2022. It was ported to the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on December 6, 2022. [4]
On Metacritic, the PC and iOS versions received positive reviews, [5] [6] and the Switch version received mixed reviews. [7] Eurogamer felt the narration was generally unnecessary, but they recommended Hindsight on the strength of its insights on childhood and memory. [2] Nintendo Life called the story "eloquent, mature and moving" and said it is told with "technical and artistic aplomb". [8] Pocket Gamer praised the art and voice acting. They called the story "deeply emotional but a tad repetitive". [9] NintendoWorldReport said its theme was to push players to ask their loved ones lingering questions while they still have time. They recommended Hindsight to gamers looking for an emotional story that has light gameplay. [10] TouchArcade recommended the iOS version over the Switch and said it is "essential if you enjoy emotional narratives". [11]
Hot Springs Story is a hot spring business simulation video game developed and published by Kairosoft for the Android, iOS, and the Nintendo Switch. It was released for iOS on February 28, 2011, for Android in 2011, and for Nintendo Switch on October 11, 2018. The game focuses on a hot spring resort which the player is tasked with managing and making a profit from. It received mostly positive reviews from critics. A sequel, Hot Springs Story 2, was released in 2020.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a 2014 point-and-click survival horror game developed and published by Scott Cawthon. It is the second installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Set in a fictional pizzeria, the player takes on the role of a night security guard and must defend themselves from the restaurant's hostile animatronic mascots. The player cannot leave their office, but has access to security cameras throughout the restaurant to monitor animatronic activity. Wearing a mask that looks like one of the animatronics allows the player to avoid being detected in most cases, though some animatronics are repelled through other methods. If an animatronic enters the office and the player is detected, they will be killed. As the game progresses, Atari-styled minigames and phone calls provide insight into the history of the restaurant.
Kingdom is a strategy and resource management game developed by Thomas van den Berg and Marco Bancale with support from publisher Raw Fury. The title was released on 21 October 2015 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. A reworked version of the game, titled Kingdom: New Lands, was released in August 2016, and a sequel, Kingdom Two Crowns, was released in 2018. A second sequel, developed by Fury Studios, titled Kingdom Eighties: Summer of Greed launched on October 16, 2023, for Windows via Steam.

A follow-up of the 2015 video game Kingdom, players take control of a mounted monarch as they build and defend their kingdom from monsters called the Greed. The monarch can recruit subjects such as builders and archers to fortify their base, while progressing towards their goal of ruling over five islands. New Lands was a free update for owners of the original version. Versions for iOS and Android were released in March 2017, and for Nintendo Switch in September 2017, followed by PlayStation 4 on 16 January 2018. The game received mixed to generally positive reviews on release.
