Hit & Run is a 2009 EP by Canadian power pop quartet Sloan.
The album was recorded in the summer of 2009, with the majority being completed before Chris Murphy's involvement in an actual hit and run collision in July, after which the EP is named. [1] The EP was released on Sloan's own Murderecords label, in a digital download-only format. [2]
On September 29, prior to the EP's release in November, the single "Take It Upon Yourself" was released as a free digital download to subscribers of Sloan's fan mailing list. [3] In November 2018 - nine years after its digital release - Sloan announced they would be pressing and selling the EP on vinyl.
Andrew Scott's track "Where Are You Now?", described as "garage rockin'" [2] and "full of crotch-rock swagger and shouts", [1] reached the number one spot on the February 20 edition of CBC Radio 3's in-house R3-30 chart. [4] The song spent a total of five weeks on the chart, having debuted on, "for the first time in R3-30 history", the unbroadcasted previous edition. [5]
Sloan is a Canadian rock band based in Toronto and originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sloan has released twelve full-length albums and has received nine Juno Award nominations, winning one. Between 1996 and 2016, Sloan was among the top 75 best-selling Canadian artists in Canada and among the top 25 best-selling Canadian bands in Canada. The band is known for their sharing of songwriting and lead vocals from each member of the group and their unaltered line-up throughout their career.

The American rock band Paramore has released five studio albums, five extended plays, two live albums, twenty three singles, one video album, and twenty six music videos. The band was formed in Franklin, Tennessee, in 2004 by lead vocalist Hayley Williams with guitarists Josh Farro and Taylor York, bassist Jeremy Davis, and drummer Zac Farro. In 2005, Paramore signed with the New York City-based Fueled by Ramen and released their debut album entitled All We Know Is Falling. Three singles were released from the album, but none of them charted. The album did not chart in the Billboard 200 either, although it peaked at number thirty in the Billboard Top Heatseekers. All We Know Is Falling received Gold certification in the United Kingdom and in July 2014 the RIAA certified the album Gold in the United States.

The song is written by Anders Hansson and is released by Roxy Recordings. Just like "Release Me" a French version of the song was recorded for the francophone market called "On se Donne". "On and On" was released in the UK in May, 2010. The song was re-released in the Netherlands on May 24, 2010 as the UK edit.

"Un-Thinkable " is a song by American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys from her fourth studio album The Element of Freedom (2009). It was initially scheduled to be the fifth single, but it was released as the fourth single. It was her first single to reach number one on the R&B chart in the United States since 2007's "Like You'll Never See Me Again". "Un-Thinkable " spent twelve consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs, becoming the longest-running number-one single of 2010. The song topped the Billboard Adult R&B Songs, and reached number twenty-one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna is the debut extended play (EP) by the cast of the musical television series Glee. It contains eight songs from the season one Glee episode, "The Power of Madonna", which was a tribute episode dedicated to American recording artist Madonna. She had sold the rights to her entire catalog of music to Glee in 2009, and producers of the show developed the episode called "The Power of Madonna"; the show featured a number of cover versions of Madonna's songs by the cast. The accompanying EP released with the airing of the show was called Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna.
"Letting Go " is a song by American recording artist Sean Kingston. It was produced by Stargate and Paul A., and features Trinidadian recording artist Nicki Minaj. The song was originally released as the second single from Kingston's third studio album, Back 2 Life, but was taken off for unknown reasons. As of December 2014, the song has sold 1.1 million copies in the United States.
"Higher" is the fifth single from English singer-songwriter Taio Cruz's second studio album, Rokstarr. It was written and produced by Cruz and Sandy Vee, and was released on 26 November 2010. This song was originally written for Australian singer Kylie Minogue's album Aphrodite, but plans fell through. However, Cruz and Minogue recorded a version of the song for the European release, while American rapper Travie McCoy recorded guest raps for the American release. The Brazilian and United Kingdom versions have parts of McCoy's rap mixed into the Minogue version. The version on Cruz's albums feature a solo vocal by Cruz with no guest vocalist and an edited version of the solo version was added to Radio Disney's playlist.
"Addiction" is a song by Danish singer Medina from her international debut studio album Welcome to Medina. It was released as the third single from the album on 1 November 2010. The electropop song was written by Medina, Providers and Lisa Greene and it was produced by Providers. "Addiction" peaked at number one in Denmark, becoming Medina's fifth number-one single. In the US, the song peaked at number one on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart.
"CeCe Peniston" also known as "EP Live" is a digital EP by the artist CeCe Peniston and released on July 14, 2008, on One Media Publishing.
"The Monster" is a song from American rapper Eminem's album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013) featuring a guest appearance from Barbadian singer Rihanna. The song was written by Bebe Rexha, Jon Bellion, and AKS from Prosper, with production handled by Frequency. "The Monster" marks the fourth collaboration between Eminem and Rihanna, following "Love the Way You Lie" (2010), its sequel "Love the Way You Lie " (2010), and "Numb" (2012). "The Monster" was released on October 29, 2013, as the fourth single from the album. The lyrics describe Rihanna coming to grips with her inner demons while Eminem ponders the negative effects of his fame.
