Hits U Missed is a 2004 compilation album from hip hop artist Masta Ace, released through his self-owned M3 record label. The compilation features a number of singles released during his MIA period between 1996 and 2000, as well as a few B-side songs from past singles.

The Pharcyde is an American alternative hip hop group, formed in 1989, from South Central Los Angeles. The original four members of the group are Imani, Slimkid3, Bootie Brown, and Fatlip. DJ Mark Luv was the group's first disc jockey (DJ), followed by producer J-Swift. The group is perhaps best known for the hit singles "Drop", "Passin' Me By" and "Runnin'", as well as their first album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde (1992). The group continues to tour and record, both collaboratively and in solo projects—the most recent being Hardson's collaborative EP with DJ Nu-Mark released in 2014 on Delicious Vinyl.
The Beatnuts is an American hip hop group and production duo from New York City. Its current members are JuJu and Psycho Les. JuJu is a Dominican American from Corona and Psycho Les is a Colombian American from Jackson Heights, Queens. Although only peripheral members, they are routinely acknowledged by Q-Tip as being members of Native Tongues. The Beatnuts were originally a trio before Fashion, now known as Al' Tariq, left the group to start a solo career. V.I.C. was also a member of The Beatnuts' production team for a while.

As a teenager in the mid-1990s, PackFM began his battle career, winning numerous prestigious freestyle titles. These wins include the 88HipHop MC Battle Champion, where he was inducted into their Hall of Fame after four undefeated months, Braggin Rites tournament in 1999, Everlast Harlem Lyricist Championship in 2003, and three undefeated months in the 24 Hour MC Battle sponsored by TDK.
"What It Ain't (Ghetto Enuff)" is a song by American hip hop group Goodie Mob featuring American R&B girl group TLC. It was released in the spring of 2000 as the second single from Goodie Mob's third studio album, World Party (1999). The song peaked at number three on Billboard's Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. The song was rumored to have been recorded for TLC's FanMail album, but the label deadline of the album prevented it from being added to the album at the last minute.
