The Hong Kong women's national beach handball team is the national team of Hong Kong. It takes part in international beach handball competitions.
Hong Kong has a long coastline that is full of twists and turns with many bays and beaches. Many of them are well sheltered by mountains nearby, as Hong Kong is a mountainous place. As a result, large waves seldom appear at the bays, making them suitable for human swimming.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is one of the six continental confederations within FIFA and is the governing body of association football in Asia and Australia. It has 47 member countries, mostly located on the Asian continent, but excludes the transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkey – which are instead members of UEFA. Three other states located geographically along the western fringe of Asia – Cyprus, Armenia and Israel – are also UEFA members. On the other hand, Australia, formerly in the OFC, joined the Asian Football Confederation in 2006. It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2017 Youth Beach Handball World Championship and the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics.

The event was held in Flic-en-Flac, Mauritius from 11 to 16 July 2017. It was played in under-17 years category. It also acted as a qualification tournament for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics which was held in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
The 2017 Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship was the 14th edition of the championship organised by the Handball Association of Hong Kong China under the auspices of the Asian Handball Federation. It was held in Tsim Sha Tsui from 15 to 23 July 2017. It was played in under-19 years category. It was the first time that Hong Kong staged the competition. It also acts as qualification tournament for the IHF Women's Junior World Handball Championship. Top three teams i.e. South Korea, China and Japan qualified for the 2018 Women's Junior World Handball Championship to be held in Hungary.

The 2020 Asian Youth Beach Handball Championship will be 2nd edition of the championship to be held from 11 to 17 September 2020 at Bangkok, Thailand under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation (AHF). It will be second time in history that the championship will be organised by Handball Association of Thailand. It also acts as qualification tournament for the 2021 Youth Beach Handball World Championship to be held in Portugal with two quota places in each gender.
The Handball Association of Hong Kong, China (HAHKC) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball in Hong Kong, China. HAHKC is a member of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) and member of the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1974.
