The Hong Kong women's national handball team is the national team of Hong Kong. It is governed by the Handball Association of Hong Kong and takes part in international handball competitions.

It also acts as qualification tournament for the IHF Women's Junior World Handball Championship. Top three teams i.e. South Korea, China and Japan qualified for the 2018 Women's Junior World Handball Championship to be held in Hungary.

Hong Kong competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. Hong Kong made its debut at the Asian Games in 1954 Manila, and the best achievement for the territory was in 2010 Asian Games held in neighboring Guangzhou, finishing with 8 gold, 15 silver and 17 bronze medals totaling 40 medals. At the previous edition in held 4 years later in Incheon, the total number of medals increased to 42, but the number of gold medals fell to 6. In Indonesia the performance of local athletes was satisfactory, improving the results obtained in 2010 and 2014 with 46 medals achieving the best results at the games.

The qualification for the 2020 Women's Olympic Handball Tournament assigned quota places to twelve teams: the hosts, the World champion, four continental champions and six teams from the World Olympic qualification tournaments respectively. The Eighth National Games of the People’s Republic of China was held in Shanghai from October 12 to 24, 1997. The participating delegations included 46 delegations from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, the People’s Liberation Army, and 13 trade associations. It was the first time that the SAR Hong Kong and the Chongqing Municipality have organized a team to participate in the National Games.
