"House Arrest" is the 18th episode in the third season of M*A*S*H. It originally broadcast on February 4, 1975.
In the OR Margaret is not performing up to par and is continuously chided by Hawkeye. Margaret admits that she is nervous about Colonel Reese, the most decorated nurse in the army, coming to the 4077th.
While washing up, Hawkeye continues to chide Margaret. Margaret employs Frank to defend her honor, so he nonchalantly hits Hawkeye with a towel. Hawkeye responds by punching Frank in the face. Frank threatens a court-martial.
In Henry's office, the CO tries to convince Frank to drop the matter, but Frank persists. Radar explains that if Hawkeye is court-martialed, he will be placed on house arrest. Hawkeye jumps at the opportunity to rest in his tent all day. The 4077th rallies around Hawkeye, bringing him steak, Red Cross care packages, and moving a movie showing ( Leave Her to Heaven ) into the Swamp. Frank finds himself ousted from his tent. When he goes to visit Margaret, he meets Colonel Reese, who is attracted to Frank. She promises him a promotion and a stateside transfer in exchange for sexual favors, and begins kissing him. When Margaret enters, Reese claims Frank assaulted her. Frank is placed under house arrest, while the case against Hawkeye falls apart when an infuriated Margaret agrees with Trapper that Frank slipped on some soap.
Radar, meanwhile, has ordered platform shoes to alleviate jokes about his height. When Hawkeye finds out, he promises to cut out the short jokes.
