Hubert Haupt (born 30 April 1969) is a German racing driver, racing team owner, real estate entrepreneur and investor.
He competed in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft in 1991 and 1992 for Audi, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters in 2001 for Opel and in 2021 for Mercedes-AMG. In 1999, he achieved the GT2 class victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona. In 2015, 2018 and 2020 he won the 24 Hours of Dubai. In 2020, he founded his own racing team.
Haupt began his motorsport career in karting, in which he was active until 1989. In 1990, he switched to touring car racing and drove one season for Opel in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft. [1] He then started in 1991 and 1992 as a works driver for the SMS Schmid Motorsport team with the Audi V8 quattro DTM Evo. In 1991, he achieved his greatest DTM success with third place in the second race on the AVUS. [1] [2] In 1993, he drove a Lola T93/20 formula racing car in the Indy Lights Championship. The following year, when he returned to Germany, he took part in the Porsche Carrera Cup and the Porsche Supercup, finishing in ninth place in the Carrera Cup and seventh place in the Supercup in the annual rankings. After a four-year break, Haupt started for Roock Racing in the GT2 class of the FIA GT Championship and in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) in 1999. [2] At the 24 Hours of Daytona he achieved seventh place and the GT2 class victory together with André Ahrlé, Raffaele Sangiuolo and David Warnock in a Porsche 911 GT2 (Type 993). [3] He also took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1999. However, he and his team colleagues had to end the race early due to engine failure. [2] [3]
The next season he again drove in the ALMS for Roock Racing. In the FIA GT Championship he started for Freisinger Motorsport. At the race at the Lausitzring he celebrated his first victory in the FIA GT Championship together with Wolfgang Kaufmann. [1] [2] [3]
In 2001, Haupt drove in the new DTM. There he was only able to finish in the points once with the Opel Astra V8 Coupé for the Opel Euroteam. [1] [2] That year he only took part in an endurance race once with a Porsche 911 GT3 R (type 996) for the Cirtek Motorsport team at the 24 Hours of Daytona, which he was unable to finish due to engine failure. [3] The following year he drove a season in the German V8-Star and finished 20th in the overall ranking. [1] In 2004, he competed in the Mini Challenge Germany for the first time and finished in eleventh place. From 2006 to 2008 he competed there again - but was unable to repeat his 2004 result. [2] In 2005, he competed in a Ferrari 550 GTS Maranello for the Wieth Racing team in the French GT Championship and in a Saleen S7-R for Graham Nash Motorsport in the FIA GT Championship in a few races. From 2011, Haupt drove a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 and from 2016 in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in various racing championships and events such as the Blancpain Endurance Series, VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring or endurance races at the Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps and Dubai. He mostly started for the Black Falcon racing team. [1] [2] [4]
In 2018, he competed in the Silver Cup class in the Blancpain GT Series together with Abdulaziz Al Faisal and Gabriele Piana, where he finished in second place. [1] [5] In 2020, he finished second in the Silver Cup classification of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup together with Sergey Afanasyev. [2]
In 2020, Haupt founded his own racing team, the Haupt Racing Team (HRT), [6] which celebrated its first successes in its debut year in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (formerly VLN), at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and in the GT World Challenge Europe. The following year, the Haupt Racing Team entered the DTM and won the drivers' championship with Maximilian Götz. [7]
In 2021, Haupt also started in the DTM at the races at the Nürburgring and the Hockenheimring. This makes Haupt the first driver in history to have started as a driver in every DTM era. [8]
In 2024, Haupt competed in the FIA Motorsport Games GT Cup, alongside Finn Wiebelhaus, where they won the main race. [9] [10]
Haupt lives and works in Munich. He is the majority shareholder of a German fitness equipment manufacturer and the owner of a real estate holding company. [11] [12] His son Henri Haupt is a tennis player. [13]
Uwe Alzen is a German racing driver specialised in touring car racing and sports car racing.
Marc Lieb is a former German Porsche factory motor-racing driver. He won the FIA GT Championship in 2003 and 2005, and the European Le Mans Series in 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2010. He won the 24 Hours Nürburgring four times, one time the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, in the 2008 12 Hours of Sebring, in the 2003 24 hours of Spa and in the 2007 Petit Le Mans. He is also the 2016 FIA World Endurance Champion.
Marcel Tiemann is a former racing driver from Germany. He is best known for being a five-time winner of the 24 Hours Nürburgring race with Opel and Porsche.
Richard Westbrook is a British professional racing driver noted for his success in racing Porsche and International sports cars. As a junior, he attended St Joseph's College, Ipswich. He has won both the Porsche Supercup international championship and the Porsche Carrera Cup in his native Britain (2004). At the end of the 2007 season, Richard signed a factory contract deal with the German marque Porsche, and the British ace proceeded to take on the world's best on the other side of the Atlantic. The next year (2009), Westbrook won the highly coveted FIA GT2 Championship, taking four victories in the process, establishing himself firmly on the World motor sport stage and in the upper echelons of elite sports car drivers.
Manthey Racing GmbH is a German auto racing team established in 1996 by former race car driver Olaf Manthey. Manthey Racing is currently competing in the Nürburgring Endurance Series, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, and the GT2 European Series, and is also responsible for Porsche's factory efforts in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Working with Porsche sports cars for most of their history, the team has been strongly linked with the German manufacturer, being purchased by Porsche for a 51% majority stake in 2013, and later becoming a full motorsport partner in 2021.
Mirko Bortolotti is an Italian racing driver from Trento. He has won the Italian Formula 3 Championship in 2008, the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2011, the Eurocup Megane Trophy in 2013 and the Blancpain GT Series Endurance and Overall Championship in 2017. He competed as a factory driver for Lamborghini between 2016 and 2019, before moving to Audi for 2020 and rejoining Lamborghini in 2021. He competed in the 2022 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters with GRT Grasser Racing Team, a factory-backed Lamborghini team based in Austria, and has since been competing with Iron Lynx in the WEC, piloting their Lamborghini SC63 prototype starting in 2024.

Štefan "Štofi" Rosina is a Slovak racing driver racing in GT cars. He has competed successfully in the FIA GT1 World Championship and Porsche Supercup. He is the incumbent Vice Champion in the Fanatec GT2 European Series, driving for True Racing by Reiter Engineering, the KTM works sportscar effort.
Phoenix Racing is a motor racing team based at the Nürburgring in Germany. The team competes in series such as the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and FIA GT1 World Championship and was the winner of the 2022 24 Hours of Nürburgring with the car #15.
Christopher Haase is a German professional racing driver. He currently competes in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with Audi customer team Tresor Attempto Racing. Among his most notable successes are winning the 2007 ADAC GT Masters title, triumphing alongside Christopher Mies in the 2009 FIA GT3 European Championship, and taking home the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2012 and 2014. He also won the 24 Hours of Spa in 2017.
Maxime Martin is a Belgian professional racing driver and son of four-time Spa 24 Hours winner Jean-Michel Martin. He currently is a BMW factory driver mainly competing in the GT World Challenge Europe driving for Team WRT. Martin had previously been a BMW factory driver between 2013 and 2017, racing full-time in the American Le Mans Series for BMW Team RLL in 2013, as well as acting as BMW's DTM test and reserve driver. In late 2013 at BMW Motorsport's yearly review, Martin was confirmed as a full-time BMW DTM driver for the 2014 season. In 2018 Martin joined Aston Martin Racing for which he competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship between 2018 and 2020.
Patrice Goueslard is a French racing driver. He competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans each year from 1999 until 2010, having initially made his debut at the event in 1994. His best finish in the event came in 2006, when he and Larbre Compétition drivers Luc Alphand and Jérôme Policand took seventh overall, and third in the GT1 category. In addition to this, he has won the French GT Championship and the GT1 category of the Le Mans Series on three occasions each, as well as the Gentleman Trophy category of the Blancpain Endurance Series on one occasion.
Group GT3, known technically as Cup Grand Touring Cars and commonly referred to as simply GT3, is a set of regulations maintained by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for grand tourer racing cars designed for use in various auto racing series throughout the world. The GT3 category was initially created in 2005 by the SRO Motorsports Group as a third rung in the ladder of grand touring motorsport, below the Group GT1 and Group GT2 categories which were utilized in the SRO's FIA GT Championship, and launched its own series in 2006 called the FIA GT3 European Championship. Since then, Group GT3 has expanded to become the de facto category for many national and international grand touring series, although some series modify the ruleset from the FIA standard. By 2013, nearly 20 automobile manufacturers have built or been represented with GT3 machines.
ROWE Racing is the motor racing team of the German lubricant manufacturer Rowe Mineralölwerk. Since 2011, ROWE Racing has competed in series such as the Nürburgring Endurance Series, the GT World Challenge Europe, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and the 24 Hours Nürburgring. In 2020 it won both the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the Spa 24 Hours. In 2023 it won the Spa 24 Hours for the third time.

Maximilian Buhk is a retired German racing driver. He experienced considerable success racing for Mercedes-AMG in the GT3 scene, winning the 2012 FIA GT3 European Championship and 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series, before taking the 2015 Blancpain GT Sprint Series title as part of the Bentley factory lineup.
Christian Mamerow is a German racing driver. He is the son of Peter Mamerow.
Clemens Schmid is an Austrian racing driver currently competing in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with the GRT Grasser Racing Team.
