Hugo Ariel Sconochini (born 10 April 1971) is an Argentine retired professional basketball player. He played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. [1] During his professional club career, Sconochini won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup championship in 1996, and two EuroLeague championships, in 1998 and 2001.
He was also a member of the senior Argentine national team that won the gold medal at the 2004 Athens Summer Olympic Games.
In the 1996–97 season, Sconochini played with the Greek Basket League club Panathinaikos Athens. With Panathinaikos, he won the 1996 edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. As a member of Virtus Bologna, Sconochini won the Italian League championship in 1998 and 2001, and the Italian Cup title in 1999 and 2001 with Bologna. With Bologna, Sconochini also won the EuroLeague championship at both the 1998 EuroLeague Final Four and the 2001 EuroLeague Finals. As a member Baskonia, Sconochini won the Spanish League championship and the Spanish Cup title in the year 2002.
Sconochini was a regular member of the senior men's Argentine national team. He was a part of Argentina's "Golden Generation". With Argentina, he played at the 1998 FIBA World Championship. He won a bronze medal with Argentina at the 1999 FIBA Americas Championship.
Sconochini also won gold medals with Argentina at the 2001 FIBA South American Championship and the 2001 FIBA Americas Championship. He also won a silver medal with Argentina at the 2002 FIBA World Championship. In addition to that, Sconochini was a member of Argentina's gold medal winning team at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Dejan Bodiroga is a Serbian basketball executive and former professional player, who is currently the President of EuroLeague Basketball. In 1998 and 2002, he received the Golden Badge award for the best athlete of Yugoslavia, and the Yugoslav Olympic Committee also declared him the Sportsman of the Year. He was named to the FIBA All-Time EuroStars Team in 2007. In 2018, he was named one of the 101 Greats of European Basketball. HoopsHype named Bodiroga one of the 75 Greatest International Players Ever in 2021. He was inducted into the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame in 2022.
Aleksandar "Saša" Đorđević or Sale Đorđević is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. He currently serves as a head coach for the senior China. During his playing career, he was listed as a 1.88 m (6'2") 90 kg (198 lb.) point guard.
Saulius Štombergas is a retired Lithuanian professional basketball player, basketball coach and businessman. Štombergas is one of the greatest Lithuanian basketball players of all time, and he was also considered to be a great team leader, as he managed to play very well under pressure, and at the end of games. He was also known for his 3-point shooting ability.
Ramūnas Šiškauskas is a former Lithuanian professional basketball player and basketball coach. Listed at 1.98 m tall, he could play at both the shooting guard and small forward positions. His individual accolades as a player include a EuroLeague MVP award, four All-EuroLeague Team selections, as well as an All-EuroBasket Team designation. On May 16, 2014, Šiškauskas was named a EuroLeague Basketball Legend.
Andreas Glyniadakis is a Greek former professional basketball player. During his pro club career, at a height of 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) tall, Glyniadakis played at the center position. His pro club playing career started in 1997, and ended in 2020.
Antonis Fotsis is a Greek professional basketball player for Ilysiakos. He was also the captain of the senior Greek national team. During his playing career, at a height of 2.09-metre tall, he played primarily as a power forward, but he could also sometimes be used as a small ball center, or even as a small forward, if needed. Fotsis was inducted into the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame in 2022.

Fragiskos "Frankie" Alvertis is a Greek former professional basketball player and general manager of Panathinaikos Athens. As a player, he was the long-time captain of Panathinaikos, where he spent his whole professional career. In 1990, Alvertis joined Panathinaikos, after moving to the club from Glyfada. Alvertis is first on the list of the EuroLeague championships won by a player, with five, since the competition went to the Final Four format, beginning with the 1987–88 season. The former Italian player Dino Meneghin, is first overall, with seven EuroLeague championships won, when including all formats of the competition, dating back to the competition's inaugural 1958 season.

Oikonomou also runs Basket4All, a basketball camp for young children. He hails from Emmanouil Pappas, Serres.

Vassilis Xanthopoulos is a Greek professional basketball player for Peristeri Athens of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. He is 6 ft 2 in tall and he plays at the point guard position. Xanthopoulos won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup championship in 2019, and the EuroLeague championship in 2007.

In addition to the Greece national team's triumph in 1987, they won the gold medal at the 2005 EuroBasket, silver medals at the 1989 EuroBasket, and the 2006 FIBA World Cup, and the bronze medal at the 2009 EuroBasket.
