The Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs Select Committee (Malay: Jawatankuasa Pilihan Khas Hak Asasi Manusia dan Hal Ehwal Perlembagaan) is a select committee of the Malaysian House of Representatives. It is among four new bipartisan parliamentary select committees announced by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of legal affairs, Liew Vui Keong, on 17 October 2019 in an effort to improve the institutional system. [1] [2] [3] The creation saw the portfolio of human rights being moved from the previous Rights and Gender Equality Select Committee, now known as the Gender Equality and Family Development Select Committee. She served as the Minister of Higher Education for the second term under the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 to the collapse of BN administration in November 2022, the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to her resignation in August 2021. She is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. She has also served as the 10th Women Chief of UMNO since June 2018 and 2nd Women Youth Chief of UMNO from 2004 to 2009 and 1st Deputy Women Youth Chief from 2001 to her promotion to women youth chief in 2004. The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is a select committee of the House of Representatives in the Parliament of Malaysia. The PAC derives its powers from the Dewan Rakyat which chooses the committee chairperson and deputy chairperson. Based on Standing Order 77(1), the PAC has the power to examine the accounts of the Malaysian government, the accounts of all public authorities, the reports of the auditor-general, and any other matters that "the committee may think fit" or matters referred to the PAC by the Dewan Rakyat.

The Electoral Reform Select Committee is a select committee of the Malaysian House of Representatives, which study the matters related to the election process in Malaysia. It was first announced by Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof in April 2019 that a new select committee for electoral reform was to be set up. However, it is noted that an electoral reform select committee previously existed between October 2011 and April 2012. Unlike the yet-to-be-confirmed select committee, the temporary committee was not designed to study bills.

Prior to the 14th session of parliament, only five permanent and two temporary committees had been in operation. The remit of these committees vary depending on whether they are committees of the House of Representatives or the Senate.
