The ATP Challenger Tour, known until the end of 2008 as the ATP Challenger Series, is a series of international men's professional tennis tournaments. The Challenger Tour events are the second-highest tier of tennis competition, behind the ATP Tour. The ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments are on the entry-level of international professional tennis competition. The ATP Challenger Tour is administered by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Attila Sávolt is a tennis player from Hungary, who represented his native country at the 2000 Sydney Olympics where he lost to Paradorn Srichaphan in his first match. Starting his professional career in 1995, he peaked the ATP-ranking on May 20, 2002, reaching 68 on the world rankings. Surprisingly he has a 1-0 head to head against Tim Henman after beating the 4th seed 11th ranked in the 2003 Dubai Tennis Championships. He also defeated Jiří Novák in their only ATP Tour match-up at the 2002 Orange Warsaw Open, when the Czech was ranked 5th in the world. He participated in the 2004 Hopman Cup alongside Petra Mandula. He won the Hungarian Championships two times. He was coaching Márton Fucsovics and is currently a sports commentary on Sport 1.

It was held annually at the Római Teniszakadémia in Budapest, Hungary, from 1994 to 2005, when during the 2006 Hungarian floodings the courts were washed away and the event spot was replaced by the USTA LA Tennis Open. The most successful players were Hernán Gumy with two singles titles and Nuno Marques with three doubles titles.

Budapest Challenger (September) Tennis tournament

The Budapest Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor red clay courts. It was the latter one of the two simultaneous challengers played in Hungary with the event taking place usually in September. It was part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour. It was held annually at the Római Teniszakadémia in Budapest, Hungary, from 1986 to 2005, when during the 2006 Hungarian floodings the courts were washed away and the event spot was replaced by the WOW Cafe Challenger. The most successful player was Sergio Roitman with three doubles titles.

Stella Artois Clay Court Championships Tennis tournament

The Stella Artois Clay Court Championships was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor red clay courts. During its existence, it was an annual event on the Challenger Series, the second tier of competition of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). It was held each July, from 2001 through 2005, at the Budaörsi Teniszcentrum in Budapest, Hungary.
