The Knoxville Challenger is a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour. It is held annually in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, since 2000.
The Knoxville Challenger is held at Goodfriend Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee. The tournament is the second of three indoor Challenger tournaments at college venues to end the USTA Pro Circuit season. The Charlottesville Men's Pro Challenger (University of Virginia) is held the week before, and the Champaign Challenger (University of Illinois) is the week after. [1]

Clark Graebner is a retired American professional tennis player.
The U.S. National Indoor Championships was a tennis tournament that was last held at the Racquet Club of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The event was played on indoor hard courts and usually took place in February. For much of its more than 100-year history it was a combined men's and women's tournament but in 2014, its final year, only a men's tournament was held. The event was previously known under various sponsored names including the Memphis Open, the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships, the Kroger St. Jude Championship, and the Volvo Championships. It was called throughout most of its history the National Indoor Championships.

Opened in 1991 at a cost of $5.3 million, the Atkins Tennis Center is home to both men and women's tennis at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Jarmere Jenkins is a retired American professional tennis player who became the hitting partner for Serena Williams. He was the 2013 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Player of the Year and male ACC Athlete of the Year after earning the national championships in indoor singles, outdoor doubles and team competition while also finishing runner up in outdoor singles. He was the first Atlantic Coast Conference athlete to win ACC athlete of the year solely for tennis accomplishments. In his first full year as a pro, he cracked the top 200 in the 2014 year end rankings at 193, but the costs of travel became prohibitive for him and he retired in 2017.

The event on outdoor hardcourts was classified as a $50,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament and was held in Carson, California in the United States from 2007 to 2011. In 2014, the tournament was a replacement for the Yakima Regional Hospital Challenger, as their clubhouse was destroyed by a fire earlier in the year. The event was also previously part of the ATP Challenger Tour, from 2005 to 2010, with the exception of 2006.
