Hyderabad Heroes was[ citation needed ] one of the eight teams that competed in the Indian Cricket League. The team was based in Hyderabad and its captain was former New Zealand player Chris Harris. [1]
The inaugural coach for the Hyderabad Heroes was the former Pakistani wicketkeeper Moin Khan. Steve Rixon was coach of the team before the ICL's collapse.

Muhammad Moin Khan is a Pakistani cricket administrator, coach and former cricketer, primarily a wicketkeeper-batsman, who remained a member of the Pakistani national cricket team from 1990 to 2004. He has also captained the Pakistani side, and led the team to be the champions of the 2000 Asia Cup.

Deccan Chargers is a defunct IPL franchise which was based in the city of Hyderabad. The franchise was one of the eight inaugural members of the IPL in 2008 and winner of 2009.
