HyperParadise is the fourth album from Australian hip-hop artists Hermitude. It was released on 3 February 2012. [3]
At the J Awards of 2012, the album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year. [4]
At the AIR Awards of 2012, the album won Best Independent Dance/Electronic Album. [5] [6]
Three singles were released from HyperParadise. "Get in My Life", was released in November 2010. [1] The second, "Speak of the Devil", was released on 9 September 2011. [2] "Speak of the Devil" won the 2011 Triple J Award for Music Video of the Year. [7] The same track scored number 44 on the 2011 Triple J Hottest 100. [8] "HyperParadise" was released as the third and final single. A Flume remix saw the song peak at number 38 on the ARIA Charts, becoming the group's first charting single.
Andrew Hickey from Beat described the album as "instantly listenable" and "epic". He states Hermitude has been able to "expertly weave through genres and influences to create a unique sound". [9] The Orange Press described the album as "yet another quantum leap ahead". The review concludes by stating "if there's any justice, this album will be the one that finally launches them into the upper stratosphere of producers, both here and abroad". [10] Dominic Sciberras from Purple Sneakers states Hermitude "utilize their wide array of skills to create a sophisticated yet immensely listener friendly record". He describes Hermitude as "happy doing their own thing" by "defying trends and ignoring hype". [11]

Tim Levinson, better known by the stage name Urthboy, is an Australian hip-hop MC and producer from New South Wales. He is widely known for his solo music under the moniker Urthboy, as a founding member of the hip-hop group The Herd, and for co-founding and managing the Elefant Traks record label. Levinson has released five solo albums: Distant Sense of Random Menace (2004), The Signal (2007), Spitshine (2009), Smokey's Haunt (2012) and The Past Beats Inside Me Like a Second Heartbeat (2016); as well as five studio albums with The Herd.
Little Red were an Australian rock, pop band formed in 2005 by Adrian Beltrame on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Dominic Byrne on guitar and vocals, Quang Dinh on bass guitar and vocals, Tom Hartney on harmonica, keyboard and vocals, and Taka Honda on drums. They issued two albums, Listen to Little Red and Midnight Remember. The second album peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It provided their highest charting single, "Rock It", which reached the top 20 on the related ARIA Singles Chart. At the EG Awards of 2010, they won Best New Talent.
Hermitude is an Australian electronic hip hop duo, originating from the Blue Mountains, New South Wales.
Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, also referred to since his death as Dr G Yunupingu, was an Indigenous Australian musician. A multi-instrumentalist, he played drums, keyboards, guitar and didgeridoo, but it was the clarity of his singing voice that attracted rave reviews. He sang stories of his land both in Yolŋu languages such as Gaalpu, Gumatj or Djambarrpuynu, a dialect related to Gumatj, and in English. Although his solo career brought him wider acclaim, he was also formerly a member of Yothu Yindi, and later Saltwater Band. He was the most commercially successful Aboriginal Australian musician at the time of his death.

Rüfüs Du Sol, stylized as RÜFÜS DU SOL and formerly known as simply RÜFÜS from 2010 to 2018, is an Australian alternative dance group from Sydney, that consists of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt; they had to change their name from RÜFÜS to Rüfüs Du Sol when coming to America because RÜFÜS was already taken. Their debut album Atlas peaked at number 1 in Australia, while their second album Bloom debuted atop the Australian albums chart in early 2016. Their single You Were Right won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release in 2015.
