IBTE Mechanical Campus, formerly known as Mechanical Training Centre (Malay : Pusat Latihan Mekanik, abbreviated as PLM) is a government vocational school in Brunei and one of the campuses under the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE). It is located in Tungku, a settlement in Brunei-Muara District. [1] The school is a post-secondary institution which provides training specifically for the purpose of being a vehicle mechanic. [2]
The institution was established on 24 February 1986 with the name Pusat Latihan Mekanik (Mechanical Training Centre), [3] an independent vocational school, nevertheless overseen by the then Department of Technical Education under the Ministry of Education. In 2014, the school was subsumed under the department and the latter was revamped to become an umbrella institute. The school eventually adopted its current name two years later. [4]

It is a Level 4 qualification in the country's current national qualifications framework and awarded by the Brunei Darussalam Technical and Vocational Education Council (BDTVEC). It is equivalent to the National Diploma, although the latter has been phased out in government institutions. HNTec programmes are offered in the Institute of Brunei Technical Education and generally last two years. The qualification allows entry into Level 5-equivalent qualification, previously the Higher National Diploma. HNTec is the continuation of the National Technical Education Certificate (NTec).

Industrial Skills Qualification (ISQ) is a post-secondary vocational qualification in Brunei. It is a Level 2 qualification in the country's national qualifications framework and in the same level as the academic O Level qualification. ISQ was introduced in 2013 and is awarded in the Institute of Brunei Technical Education; entry into ISQ programmes is for Year 9 leavers in the current education system, the 21st Century National Education System or commonly known as SPN21, or Form Three leavers in pre-SPN21.

The Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces, natively known as Institut Latihan Angkatan Tentera Diraja Brunei is a military training establishment of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), primarily for enlisted male and female recruit training, along with technical and junior leadership courses for non-commissioned officers (NCOs). It is currently located within Penanjong Garrison, Tutong TA2741, approximately 50 kilometres from Bandar Seri Begawan in the sultanate of Brunei. Approximately one-hundred courses are available per year. The annual anniversary ceremony of TI RBLF's inception was place on 7 April every year.
