The ICC Academy (ICCA) is a cricket academy located in Dubai Sports City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that is managed and administered by the International Cricket Council. It was opened in 2009 under Rod Marsh, who was appointed as Director.
ICCA's facilities includes two ovals, each with ten turf pitches, outdoor turf and synthetic practice facilities, indoor practice facilities including Hawk Eye technology and a cricket-specific gymnasium. This Academy was planned and is managed by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The two cricket grounds are installed with floodlights.
The opening was delayed until 2009. The ICCA was finally opened by Sharad Pawar, President ICC, Alan Isaac, VP, ICC and members of Dubai Sports City in October 2010. [1] [2] The ICCA was used for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

The International Cricket Council, a.k.a.ICC, is the global governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England, and South Africa. In 1965, the body was renamed as the International Cricket Conference and adopted its current name in 1987. ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The United Arab Emirates men's national cricket team is the team that represents the United Arab Emirates in international cricket. They are governed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) which became an Affiliate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1989 and an Associate Member the following year. Since 2005, the ICC's headquarters have been located in Dubai.
Dubai Sports City or DSC is a multi-venue sports complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, developed by Dubai. It is located in Al Hebiah 4. It provides a mix of residential, retail, leisure and recreational facilities. It is built around five major sports venues and features a number of sports academies. Located on Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, the residential aspect of the project consists of mid-rise apartment buildings, townhouses and villas. Sports City contains three distinct residential districts: Canal Residence, Victory Heights and Gallery Villas.
Vivian Jilling Kingma is a Dutch cricketer. He played for the Netherlands in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament. He was initially selected in the Netherlands squad for the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in July 2015, but was replaced by Roelof van der Merwe. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Scotland on 5 February 2016.
Saqlain Haider is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his One Day International debut for the United Arab Emirates against Afghanistan on 2 December 2014. He made his Twenty20 International debut for the United Arab Emirates against Scotland on 4 February 2016.
Zeeshan Maqsood is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the Oman national cricket team and is a former captain of the national team. He has played for the team since 2012 and represented Oman at the 2016 and 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cups. In January 2022, the International Cricket Council (ICC) named Maqsood as the ICC Men's Associate Cricketer of the Year.

Rashid Riaz is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. He has stood in matches in the 2015–16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He officiated in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match, between Pakistan and Australia, on 28 October 2018. Muhammad Usman is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Mohammed Qasim is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his first-class debut for the United Arab Emirates against Scotland in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 9 August 2016. On 20 September 2016 he scored the most runs for the Emirates Cricket Board XI team against the West Indies in a T20 tour match. He made his List A debut in the UAE's three-match series against Oman in October 2016.
Ghulam Shabber is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut in the UAE's three-match series against Oman in October 2016. He retired from cricket in October 2019, mid-way through the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament, and in September 2021, he was handed a four-year ban from the sport in relation to corruption.
Imran Haider is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut for the United Arab Emirates cricket team in their three-match series against Oman in October 2016.
Karim Janat is an Afghan cricketer. He made his first-class debut against the England Lions on 7 December 2016. Prior to his first-class debut, he was part of Afghanistan's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Mohammad Boota is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut for the United Arab Emirates against Nepal in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 6 December 2017.
