INS Prahar (Assault) [1] was a Veer-class corvette of the Indian Navy. [2]
In October 1999, she assisted the IGCS Tarabai to chase and capture a Panamanian-registered Japanese cargo ship carrying aluminum ingots, MV Alondra Rainbow, that had been hijacked by pirates off Indonesia. The operation took place off the coast of Kochi. [3]
On 21 April 2006 INS Prahar collided with the container ship MV Rajiv Gandhi, and sank off the coast of Goa. No one was injured in the accident. The commanding officer of the ship, Lieutenant Commander Yogesh Tripathi was found guilty of negligence by an Indian Navy court-martial, and dismissed from service. [4]
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is a maritime law enforcement and search and rescue agency of India with jurisdiction over its territorial waters including its contiguous zone and exclusive economic zone. It was started on 1 February 1977 and formally established on 18 August 1978 by the Coast Guard Act, 1978 of the Parliament of India. It operates under the Ministry of Defence.

Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is an Indian Government owned ship building company located on the West Coast of India at Vasco da Gama, Goa. It was established in 1957, originally by the colonial government of the Portuguese in India as the "Estaleiros Navais de Goa", to build barges to be used in Goa's growing mining industry, which took off after the establishment of India's blockade of Goa in 1955. In the wake of Portugal's defeat and unconditional surrender to India following the 1961 Indian annexation of Goa, it was requisitioned to manufacture warships for the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard.

INS Chamak (K95) (Glitter) was the lead vessel of her class of fast attack craft of the Indian Navy. The INS Chamak was first constructed throughout the '70s, it had a displacement of 245 tons with its full load and measured about 38.6m long, it had a speed of over 37+ kts.
INS Kochi (D64) is the second ship of the Kolkata-class stealth guided-missile destroyers built under the code name Project 15A for the Indian Navy. She was constructed by Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) in Mumbai. After undergoing extensive sea trials, she was commissioned to Indian Navy service on 30 September 2015.

Belli Kalungura is a 1992 Indian Kannada language film directed by K. V. Raju, starring Sunil and Malashri. The supporting cast features Tara, Chi. Guru Dutt, Avinash, Doddanna, Rockline Venkatesh and Girija Lokesh. The music was composed by Hamsalekha, also writing lyrics to four of its soundtracks. The film was a success during its time and is seen as a milestone in the career of Malashri, who would go on to appear in many successful films in the 1990s.
Theatre Level Operational Readiness Exercise (TROPEX) is an inter-service military exercise involving the participation of the Indian Army, Air Force, Navy and the Coast Guard. The exercise generally commences at the beginning of each year and lasts a month. It is generally carried out in three phrases: independent workup phase, joint workup phase and tactical phase.
INS Buland is a 25 tonne bollard pull tugboat built by Hindustan Shipyard for the Indian Navy. It is the third ship of the series of 25-ton bollard pull tugboats after INS Balwan and INS Sahayak that were built within 10 months and delivered in January 2016 in time for International Fleet Review 2016. After the sea trials, the ship was flagged off by Commander A.S. Mitra (retired), Director (Shipbuilding) on 15 November 2016 and joined the Indian Navy at its home port of Port Blair.
