iTunes Live from London is a six-song EP by alternative rock band Snow Patrol, released on 19 February 2009. All of the songs are performed live and semi-acoustic and are taken from a single performance. [1]

Background

On 22 January, it was announced that Snow Patrol would be playing a special one-off performance at the Apple iTunes Store on Regent Street in London on Friday 13 February, which will then be available in the UK and Rest of the World to download as an exclusive live EP a week later. [2]

Xfm broadcast the performance in full on 21 February as part of the Xfm Live Hour between 8 pm and 9pm. The live EP showed up on Snow Patrol's iTunes exactly one week after the performance, on 19 February with an official announcement on the band's website on 23 February. [3] The Xfm broadcast was initially available for online streaming, but it was taken down on 1 March. [4]

The EP was not available at the United States iTunes store at the time of release. It saw a release on 10 March. [5] The set was priced at €5.94. [1]

The Dykeenies

The Dykeenies are a Scottish indie rock band from Cumbernauld, formed in 2005. The group consists of brothers Brian Henderson and Andrew Henderson, along with Steven Ramsay and John Kerr. Since their formation, they have released one studio album, Nothing Means Everything, accompanied by three singles. After a worldwide tour, the band began work on their second album, which was released in October 2011. They broke up in January 2012, before re-forming for two performances in 2017. The Dykeenies released their EP 'I Wanted To Show Her All The Beautiful Things In The World' on 11 May 2018. The title of the 2018 EP was taken from Bret Ellis-Easton's 'American Psycho'.

"Signal Fire" is a song from British alternative rock band Snow Patrol, appearing on the soundtrack of the film Spider-Man 3, released on 24 April, 30 April, 2 May and 14 May 2007, depending on the region. The discography of Snow Patrol, an alternative rock band from Northern Ireland and based in Dundee, Scotland, consists of seven studio albums, thirty-one singles, eight extended plays, three compilation albums and one live DVD. Snow Patrol was formed in 1994 by Gary Lightbody, Michael Morrison and Mark McClelland under the name Shrug. They released an extended play (EP) titled The Yogurt vs. Yogurt Debate. Morrison left in 1995, and the band changed their name to Polarbear. Under this name they released their other EP, Starfighter Pilot, on the Electric Honey label. Drummer Jonny Quinn joined in 1997 and the band signed to Jeepster Records the same year. They then underwent their final name change to Snow Patrol. The band's first two studio albums: Songs for Polarbears and When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up were released in 1998 and 2001 respectively, but failed to do well commercially. Subsequently, the band was dropped by the label.

Just Say Yes (song) 2009 single by Snow Patrol

"Just Say Yes" is a song by Northern Irish alternative rock band Snow Patrol, released as the single to follow "The Planets Bend Between Us" in October–November 2009, depending on the region. The song, produced by Jacknife Lee, is one of the three new songs, and the lead single from the compilation Up to Now. The lyrics were written by Gary Lightbody and the music was composed by Snow Patrol. "Just Say Yes" has its origins as a song written for pop singer Gwen Stefani, who rejected it. Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls was then given permission by Lightbody to record it for her solo debut album, which was later shelved.
