" I Always Feel Like" is the lead single released from TRU's fourth studio album, Tru 2 da Game .
The song incorporated the melody and contained re-sung elements of Rockwell's 1984 hit, "Somebody's Watching Me", with Mo B. Dick singing the hook from the original song. Mo B. Dick also produced the song, along with fellow Beats By the Pound members KLC and Craig B. Master P, Silkk the Shocker and Mia X performed the song.
Released less than a month before Tru 2 da Game, "I Always Feel Like" became the group's most successful single, reaching number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also a sizable rap hit, peaking at number 11 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles.

Jermaine Dupri Mauldin is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, record executive, and DJ. He was born in Asheville, North Carolina and was raised in Atlanta. He has worked with and produced for Kris Kross, Mariah Carey, Usher, Jay-Z, Nelly, Monica, Migos, Da Brat, Xscape, Janet Jackson, TLC, Aretha Franklin, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Jagged Edge and Bow Wow.
Lloyd Harlin Polite Jr., better known by his mononym Lloyd, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor. Lloyd began his career in music as a member of the preteen-boy band N-Toon. The group disbanded in 2001 and Lloyd embarked on a solo career in 2003. He subsequently signed a recording contract with Murder Inc. Records and Def Jam Recordings. In 2004, Lloyd released his solo debut single "Southside", the title track of his debut album, Southside. The single features Ashanti, and it quickly charted on the US Billboard Hot 100, and became a Top 40 hit. His second album Street Love, was released on March 13, 2007. It featured the top-twenty hits "You" and "Get It Shawty".
"Drop It Like It's Hot" is a single by American rapper Snoop Dogg featuring American singer/rapper/producer Pharrell Williams. Snoop Dogg performs the chorus and the second and third verses, while Pharrell performs the first verse. Pharrell would later interpolate a line from his verse on this song for "Raspy Shit", which was produced by Pharrell himself and contains vocal samples from Laid Back's "White Horse". Part of "White Horse"'s production is sampled in "Drop It Like It's Hot" as well.

Tru 2 da Game is the fourth studio album released by New Orleans hip-hop group, TRU. It was released February 18, 1997 on No Limit Records and was produced by Beats By the Pound. The album found a large amount of success, peaking at #8 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums selling 200,000 copies in its first week. A single from the album entitled "I Always Feel Like..." also found some success, peaking at #71 on the Billboard Hot 100, #11 on the Hot Rap Singles and #42 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. The same year the album was re-released with the song "Smoking Green" removed.
