The Canadian Hockey League is an umbrella organization that represents the three Canada-based major junior ice hockey leagues. The CHL was founded in 1975 as the Canadian Major Junior Hockey League, and is composed of its three member leagues, the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. For the 2023–24 season, its three leagues and 60 teams represent nine Canadian provinces as well as four American states.
Justin Pogge is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who last played with Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He played in the National Hockey League with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2008–09 season. Cameron Kenneth Ward is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played the majority of his 15-year professional career for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Chicago Blackhawks during his final season before signing a one-day contract to officially retire as a Hurricane in 2019.

Kelly Guard is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He last played for HC Pustertal-Val Pusteria in Italy's Serie A. He helped lead the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League (WHL) to a Memorial Cup championship in 2004.
Jeff Glass is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who last played for the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League (AHL). Glass was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the 3rd round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He joined their minor league affiliate and played several years with the organization before leaving as a free agent to join Barys Astana in 2009. He made his long-awaited NHL debut in the 2017–18 season with the Chicago Blackhawks.
James Reimer is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). Reimer has also played in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, San Jose Sharks and Carolina Hurricanes. He was selected by the Maple Leafs in the fourth round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He started playing minor hockey in his hometown when he was 12. He played junior hockey with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL), after being selected in the fifth round of the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft.
Martin Jones is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League. He previously played for the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Seattle Kraken. A standout goaltender in junior with the Calgary Hitmen, Jones was named the Western Hockey League's goaltender of the year in 2009–10 and won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

Darcy Kuemper is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round, 161st overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He has also played in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings, Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche. Kuemper won the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche in 2022.
Tyson Sexsmith is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Sexsmith was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 3rd round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. During his major junior career with the Vancouver Giants, Sexsmith has won a President's Cup as Western Hockey League (WHL) champions in 2005–06 and a Memorial Cup in 2007. He is tied for the WHL's all-time shutout record holder with 26 in his four-year career (tied with Carter Hart.
The CHL Import Draft is an annual event in which every team in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) may select the rights to eligible import players. An import is classified as a player who does not have residency status in either Canada or the United States. The draft is conducted online, during the last week of June, or first week of July, following the NHL Entry Draft. Teams from the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, systematically take turns making selections. Teams can have a maximum of two imports which may only be obtained through the draft. The draft is open to all position players, but a ban on drafting European goalkeepers was in effect from 2014 to 2017. As of the 2022 draft, 2,026 players have been selected, with many later going onto the National Hockey League.
Haydn Fleury is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Fleury was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Chris Driedger is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). Driedger was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the third round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Carter John Hart is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
