An early version of the single was previewed and began gaining traction on the social media platform TikTok receiving over 200,000 streams and 75,000,000 views on the platform prior to its official release. The vinyl edition of the album was released on August 11, 2023, also containing three new tracks. The deluxe edition of the album, subtitled "Directors Cut", was released on September 29, 2023, including all bonus tracks from all versions. The album serves as a follow-up to his fifth mixtape, No Stylist (2022).
