Ikkitousen Strong Climb is a professional wrestling round-robin hardcore tournament held by Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW) every two years to determine the best wrestler of BJW's Strong BJ division. The tournament was first held in 2014. The tournament differs from the Ikkitousen Deathmatch Survivor as it features matches of strong style format while the former tournament features deathmatch variations.

The 2018 Ikkitousen Strong Climb was held between March 8 and April 15, 2018. The Block A winner Daichi Hashimoto defended his BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship against Block B winner Hideki Suzuki in the final round of the tournament on April 15, in which Suzuki defeated Hashimoto to win the title and the tournament. The 2020 Ikkitousen Strong Climb was held between March 3 and April 26, 2020. The Block A winner Daichi Hashimoto, also the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion, defeated Block C winner Quiet Storm in the final round of the tournament. Several events that were scheduled to showcase the tournament were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The matches that were to take place on those events were scored as draws with each wrestler earning one point. [9]

Yasufumi Nakaue is a Japanese professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Yasufumi Nakanoue, currently signed to Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW) in the Strong BJ division, where he was the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion. He started his career in All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) and has also worked for Wrestle-1 (W-1), where he is a former one-time Wrestle-1 Tag Team Champion and a two-time UWA World Trios Champion.
Saikyo Tag League is a professional wrestling round-robin hardcore tag team tournament annually held by Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), considered a spin-off of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's World Tag League and All Japan Pro Wrestling's World's Strongest Tag Determination League. The tournament was established in 1999 as Saikyo Tag League and then renamed as Big Japan Tag League in 2011 before returning to its old name Saikyo Tag League in 2014. A new format was introduced in 2014 in which the teams were divided into two blocks, "Strong Style Block" and "Deathmatch Block". The strong style block consists of normal tag team matches and deathmatch block consists of matches contested under deathmatch rules.
Ikkitousen Deathmatch Survivor is a professional wrestling round-robin hardcore tournament biennially held by Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW) to determine the best wrestler of BJW's deathmatch division. The tournament was first held in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, one top wrestler from each block qualified for the final round with the two facing in the final but the format was changed in 2015 when top two wrestlers from each block qualified for the knockout stage. An alternative tournament is held for the strong style division called Ikkitousen Strong Climb since 2012.
