Imelda Felicyta Ximenes Belo (born 24 October 1998) is a Timorese swimmer in freestyle and butterfly races. [1] [2] She competed in the women's 50 metre freestyle event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, representing East Timor.
Ximenes began swimming at the age of 14 in her hometown of Baucau, when a group from FINA came to teach local children in a hotel pool. She has competed in Swimming World Championships in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2018 she became the first swimmer from Timor-Leste to compete at the Asian Games. She has yet to advance past the heats in international competition. During the COVID-19 pandemic, pools were closed and Ximenes instead swam in the sea until flooding outbreaks prevented this. [3]
Mireia Belmonte García is a Spanish Olympic, world, and European champion swimmer. She is the world record holder in the short course 200 metre butterfly and 400 metre individual medley. Formerly, she held the world record in the short course 400 metre freestyle, 800 metre freestyle, and 1500 metre freestyle. Alia Shanee Atkinson, СD is a Jamaican five-time Olympian and a former competitive swimmer whose international competition career spanned 19 years, 2003 to 2021 inclusive, at the senior level. At short course World Swimming Championships, she is a ten-time medalist in individual events, including four gold medals, four silver medals, and two bronze medals. She won a total of 124 medals, of which 74 were gold medals, at Swimming World Cup circuits over the course of her career. She won 14 total medals in individual events, 11 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze, from her first three Central American and Caribbean Games, in 2006, 2010, and 2018.
Heather Ann Arseth is an American-born swimmer who competed for the East African Island nation of Mauritius, near Madagascar, in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. Heather's French-speaking mother was born in Mauritius and Heather maintained a dual nationality. In other International Competition, she competed in the 2011 China, 2013 Spain, and 2015 FINA World Aquatics Championships in Russia, as well as the 2015 African Games.

Simone Ashley Manuel is an American professional swimmer specializing in freestyle events. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she won two gold and two silver medals: gold in the 100-meter freestyle and the 4×100-meter medley, and silver in the 50-meter freestyle and the 4×100-meter freestyle relay. In winning the 100-meter freestyle, a tie with Penny Oleksiak of Canada, Manuel became the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic gold in swimming and set an Olympic record and an American record. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won a bronze medal as the anchor of the American 4×100-meter freestyle relay team.
Hali Flickinger is a retired American swimmer who specializes in freestyle, butterfly, and individual medley events. She represents the Cali Condors of the International Swimming League.
Emma Jennifer McKeon, is an Australian competitive swimmer. She is an eight-time world record holder, three current and five former, in relays. Her total career haul of 13 Olympic medals following the 2024 Olympic Games made her Australia's most decorated Olympian and included one gold medal from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, four gold medals from the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and one gold medal from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. With four gold and three bronze medals she was the most decorated athlete across all sports at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and tied for the most medals won by a woman in a single Olympic Games. Abbigail "Abbey" Weitzeil is an American competition swimmer specializing in sprint freestyle. A multiple time Olympic medalist, she won a gold medal in the 4x100-meter medley relay for swimming in the preliminary heats and a silver medal in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay at the 2016 Rio Olympics. At the 2020 Summer Olympics she won a silver medal in the 4x100-meter medley relay and a bronze medal in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay, swimming in the final of both events. She is the American record holder in the 50-yard freestyle and is part of the American Record in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
Andrew Hammond Seliskar is a retired American competitive swimmer. He won the gold medal in the 200 meter butterfly at the 2013 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Dubai, breaking the Championships record.
Li Bingjie is a Chinese swimmer. She is the world record holder in the short course 400 metre freestyle. She is also the Asian record holder in the long course 400 metre freestyle as well as the short course 1500 metre freestyle. She is the 2021 World Short Course champion in the 400 metre freestyle and 800 metre freestyle. Ariarne Elizabeth Titmus is an Australian swimmer. She is the reigning Olympic champion in the women's 200-metre and 400-metre freestyle, having won both events at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the latter event at the 2024 Summer Olympics and the world record holder in the long course 200-metre freestyle and 400-metre freestyle events. In 2019 and 2020, she competed representing the Cali Condors in the International Swimming League.
Hannah Margaret McNair "Maggie" Mac NeilOLY, MSc is a Canadian competitive swimmer. A 100 metre butterfly event specialist, she is the 2020 Olympic champion, 2019 World (LC) champion, two-time World (SC) champion, 2022 Commonwealth champion, and 2023 Pan American champion. Natalie Anisha Hinds is an American professional swimmer specializing in freestyle and butterfly events. She made her international championships debut at 27 years of age, winning a bronze medal in the 4×100 meter freestyle relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics, swimming in both the prelims and the final. In her first final at a World Championships in an individual event, she placed eighth in the 100 meter freestyle at the 2022 World Short Course Championships when she was 29 years old. At the 2022 US National Championships, she won the national title in the 100 meter freestyle. Aviv Barzelay is an Israeli Olympic swimmer. She represented Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the Women's 200m backstroke event, and came in 15th. At the 2023 European U23 Championships, she won the gold medal in the 200 L backstroke. Barzelay is representing Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in swimming in the 200 metre backstroke on July 29, and the 200 metre individual medley on July 31 through August 2, at the Paris La Défense Arena.

Abby Dunford is a Canadian–American swimmer, currently swimming for Las Vegas-based swim team Sandpipers of Nevada. She swam in the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in the women's 1,500m preliminary heats, finishing 17th, not qualifying for the final. She would also swim the open water 5km and 10km events, finishing 31st and 38th respectively. She is also scheduled to swim at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
