The Milwaukee Panthers women's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Horizon League for the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. The current head coach is Kyle Rechlicz replacing longtime head coach Sandy Botham in 2012.
The Incarnate Word Cardinals, also known as UIW Cardinals, are composed of 25 teams representing the University of the Incarnate Word in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track and field. Men's sports include baseball and football. Women's sports include softball, synchronized swimming, and volleyball. The Cardinals compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Southland Conference. UIW has sent multiple fencers to compete in multiple NCAA Fencing Championships ., On November 12, 2021, Incarnate Word accepted their invitation to join the Western Athletic Conference in 2022. However, on June 24, 2022, just one week before the change of conferences was scheduled to take place, Incarnate Word announced that it would remain in the Southland Conference.
The Incarnate Word Cardinals football program is the intercollegiate American football team for the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) located in San Antonio, Texas. The program began in 2009 and originally competed in NCAA Division II as members of the Lone Star Conference. In 2013, the school moved to Division I. For the 2013 season, UIW competed as a member of the Southland Conference for all sports except football. Football competed with an 11-game schedule as an Independent. UIW began playing Southland football in the 2014 season. The team plays its home games at the 6,000 seat Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium.
The Lamar Lady Cardinals basketball team represents Lamar University in NCAA Division I women's basketball competition. The team plays in the 10,080 seat Montagne Center. The Lady Cardinals currently compete at the NCAA Division I level in the Southland Conference.
The UNC Greensboro Spartans women's basketball team represents the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in NCAA Division I. The school's team currently competes in the Southern Conference.
The Incarnate Word Cardinals men's basketball team represents the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, United States. They are currently led by first-year head coach Shane Heirman. Beginning in 2013, the Cardinals made the jump to NCAA Division I and joined the Southland Conference. As part of their transition from Division II to Division I, they were not eligible for postseason play until 2018. They play their home games at the McDermott Convocation Center.

The Cardinals are a member of the Southland Conference and participate in NCAA Division I college softball. The team is currently led by head coach Kimberly Dean and plays home games at H-E-B Field.

The Cardinals currently compete in the Southland Conference. The Cardinals play home games at Sullivan Field. The team is led by first-year head coach Ryan Shotzberger.
The Air Force Falcons women's basketball team is the women's basketball team that represents the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As of 2024, the team competes in the Mountain West Conference. The Falcons are currently coached by Stacy McIntyre.
The Fordham Rams women's basketball team represents Fordham University, located in the Bronx, New York, in NCAA Division I basketball competition. They currently compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
The Mercer Bears women's basketball team represents Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Southern Conference.
The 2015–16 Incarnate Word Cardinals men's basketball team represented the University of the Incarnate Word during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cardinals were led by tenth year head coach Ken Burmeister and played their home games at McDermott Convocation Center. They were members of the Southland Conference. The Cardinals finished the season with a record of 17–12, 12–6 in conference play to finish in a tie for third place.
The UC Riverside Highlanders women's basketball team represents the University of California, Riverside in Riverside, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Big West Conference. They play their home games at the Student Recreation Center Arena.
The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team represents Binghamton University and is located in Vestal, New York. The team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at the Binghamton University Events Center. The Bearcats have not made an appearance in the Division I tournament since joining it in 2001, but they did make appearances in the Division III Tournament from 1995 to 1998 and Division II in 1999.
The 2018–19 Incarnate Word Cardinals women's basketball team represented the University of the Incarnate Word in the 2018-19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. They were led by coach Christy Smith, in her third season. They finished the season 5–24, 5–13 in Southland play to finish in a tie for tenth place. They failed to qualify for the Southland women's tournament.
The 2021 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 64 teams to determine the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college basketball national champion for the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The 39th edition of the tournament began on March 21, 2021, in sites around San Antonio, Texas, and concluded with the championship game on April 4 at the Alamodome, with the Stanford Cardinal defeating the Arizona Wildcats 54–53 to win their third NCAA title.

They finished the season 10–21, 6–14 in Southland play to finish in tenth place. They failed to qualify for the Southland tournament.
The 2019–20 Incarnate Word Cardinals women's basketball team represented the University of the Incarnate Word in the 2019-20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Cardinals were led by coach Jeff Dow, in his first season, and are members of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 14–15, 10–10 in Southland play to finish in sixth place. Before they could play in the Southland women's tournament however, the tournament was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 2021–22 Incarnate Word Cardinals women's basketball team represented the University of the Incarnate Word in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Cardinals were led by coach Jeff Dow, in his third season, and are members of the Southland Conference. The Cardinals played their home games at the McDermott Center on campus in San Antonio, Texas. They finished the season 12–16, 5–9 in Southland play, to finish tied in sixth place. In the Southland women's tournament they upset Southeastern Louisiana University to win the championship and gain an automatic berth in the 2022 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament.
