Independence Cup is a men's association football competition in Bangladesh. The competition started in 1972 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation, which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The tournament is open to Premier League clubs and other registered teams. It can be considered the successor to the Independence Day Football Tournament from the East Pakistan era. [1]
