Indian School Al Seeb, located in the Sultanate of Oman, was established in 2002 and is registered by the Central Board of Secondary Education of India. [1] The kindergarten-to-grade-12 school has an enrollment of about 2,500 students, and moved into its own building (dedicated by Anil Wadhwa, Indian ambassador to Oman, on 30 September 2007) on 1 October 2007. The school is located on a 13,000-square-metre (3.2-acre) campus and includes a playing field, basketball court, science and computer labs, classrooms, audio-visual rooms, activity rooms, staff rooms and parking. In the Senior Secondary level students are offered Science, Commerce & Humanities streams with Informatics Practices, Computer Science, Psychology, Physical Education & Fine Arts (Painting) as optional subjects.

Pakistan School Muscat (PSM) is a school in the Sultanate of Oman. It was founded in a rented flat in Muscat, as a result of a decision made in the first meeting of Pakistani Culture Centre. Efforts, spearheaded by the senior journalist and founding Chief Editor of Times of Oman Rana N. Parveze along with Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Shafi, were made to collect funds and as a result the school was shifted to its campus in January 1981. His Majesty Sultan Qaboos granted land in Darsait that enabled the school to be established.

Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) is a centrally sponsored scheme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for the development of secondary education in public schools throughout India. It was launched in March 2009. The implementation of the scheme has started from 2009-2010 to provide conditions for an efficient growth, development and equity for all. The scheme includes a multidimensional research, technical consulting, various implementations and funding support. The principal objectives are to enhance quality of secondary education and increase the total enrollment rate from 52% to 75% in five years, i.e. from 2009–2014. It aims to provide universal education for all children between 15–16 years of age. The funding from the central ministry is provided through state governments, which establish separate implementing agencies. The total budget allocated during the XI Five Year Plan (2002-2007) was 2,012 billion (US$25 billion).

The Al-Zahra College for Women is a private college in Oman. It was founded in the academic year 1999/2000 and is located in Airport Heights Muscat, Oman.
