The People's Congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is the local people's congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,China.
On May 3,1947,the Inner Mongolia People's Congress (内蒙古人民代表会议) officially announced the founding of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government (内蒙古自治政府). [1] [2] On November 23,1949,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government was renamed the Inner Mongolia People's Government (内蒙古人民政府).
From July 27 to August 4,1954,the inaugural People's Congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was convened. [3] [4]
Mengjiang,also known as Mengkiang,officially the Mengjiang United Autonomous Government,was an autonomous zone in Inner Mongolia,formed in 1939 as a puppet state of the Empire of Japan,then from 1940 being under the nominal sovereignty of the Reorganized National Government of the Republic of China. It consisted of the previously Chinese provinces of Chahar and Suiyuan,corresponding to the central part of modern Inner Mongolia. It has also been called Mongukuo or Mengguguo. The capital was Kalgan,from where it was under the nominal rule of Mongol nobleman Demchugdongrub. The territory returned to Chinese control after the defeat of the Japanese Empire in 1945.
Inner Mongolia University (IMU) is a provincial public university in Hohhot,Inner Mongolia,China. It is affiliated with the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and co-funded with the Ministry of Education of China. The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction.
Chen Kuiyuan is a former Chinese politician. In a lengthy public career,Chen served variously as the vice chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC),the president and the Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,and CCP Committee Secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region and Henan. He retired in 2013.
Wang Suyi is a Chinese politician of Mongol ethnic ancestry. Wang was part of the senior political ranks of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region until 2013. During his career,he served as the Mayor and Party Secretary of Bayannur,and later the head of the Inner Mongolia United Front Work Department. He was sentenced to life imprisonment on corruption-related charges in 2014;his sentence was later reduced to twenty years and one month in prison.

Pan Yiyang is a former Chinese politician who served in regional posts in Jiangxi province and Inner Mongolia. Pan served as the Communist Party Secretary of Ganzhou between 2003 and 2010,and subsequently Executive Vice Chairman of Inner Mongolia. During his tenure in the autonomous region he also sat on the Party Standing Committee of Inner Mongolia. He was placed under investigation for corruption in September 2014 and expelled from the Communist Party. Upon being convicted on charges of bribery,Pan was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Shi Taifeng is a Chinese politician currently serving as the head of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the first-ranking vice chairperson of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He is additionally a member of the CCP Politburo and a secretary of the CCP Secretariat.

At the height of his career,he served as vice-chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He was a delegate to the 10th National People's Congress. He was a Standing Committee member of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was investigated by the Chinese Communist Party's anti-graft agency in June 2015. Then he was placed on two-year probation within the Party and was demoted to less responsible jobs.
Xing Yun is a former Chinese politician who spent his entire career in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A career politician in China's Communist Party-run bureaucracy,Xing rose through the ranks gradually,capping his career as the top security official of Inner Mongolia. He was put under investigation for graft in October 2018,two years after he retired. At the time,he was serving as vice-chairman of the Inner Mongolia People's Congress. He was accused of taking over 400 million yuan in bribes,and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of commutation or parole. He had the dubious distinction of having the highest recorded corrupt earnings in the history of Communist-ruled China.
Wang Lixia is a Chinese politician of Mongol heritage,currently serving as deputy secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Inner Mongolia Committee and chairwoman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Government. In 2019,she was the only female party secretary of a provincial-level capital in China. Prior to that,she served as party secretary of Hohhot,the capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,and director of the United Front Department of the CCP Inner Mongolia Committee from 2016 to 2019 and vice governor of Shaanxi from 2013 to 2016.
The Inner Mongolia incident,or the Inner Mongolia People's Revolutionary Party purge incident,was a massive political purge which occurred during the Cultural Revolution in Inner Mongolia. The purge was supported by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and was led by Teng Haiqing,a lieutenant general of the People's Liberation Army. It took place from 1967 to 1969 during which over a million people were categorized as members of the already-dissolved Inner Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (PRP),while lynching and direct massacre resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands,most of whom were Mongols.
