Innocence is the fifth studio album by Japanese recording artist Arisa Mizuki, released through Avex Tune on November 17, 1999. It is Mizuki's first studio album in over four years, since Cute , and the first to be released under Avex Tune. The album produced four original singles: "Through the Season," "Oh Darling" (released under the alias Convertible), "Asahi no Ataru Hashi," and Eternal Message. All singles, as well as track three of the album, "All My Love," which was used in commercials for the TU-KA cell phone by KDDI, had a commercial tie-in. Innocence is predominately a pop music album. CDJournal noted that the album "showcases the vocals of a grown-up Mizuki." [1]

Alisa Mizuki is a Japanese actress, singer, and model. Mizuki is represented by the talent agency Vision Factory. Born in Nerima, Tokyo to Japanese-American parents, Mizuki began modelling for magazines and appearing in commercials at the age of four.

Cute is the fourth studio album by Japanese recording artist Arisa Mizuki, released through Nippon Columbia on July 21, 1995. It is predominately a pop music album. Cute was released only seventh months after Arisa III: Look and is Mizuki's last studio album to be released under Nippon Columbia. The album produced two singles, "Anata no Sedai e Kuchizuke o", written and produced by Tetsuya Komuro, and "Dakishimete!." Both singles debuted within the top twenty, with "Anata no Sedai e Kuchizuke o" becoming Mizuki's last single to break the top ten. Despite not being released as a single, track seven, "Kagayaite Ite ," was used as theme song for the NHK television and radio program Minna no Uta throughout June and July 1995.

Innocence debuted at number 39 on the Oricon Weekly Albums chart with 6,920 copies in its first week, charting eighteen spots lower than Cute. [2] [3]

Oricon Inc., established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan. It started as Original Confidence Inc., which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter’s Oricon record charts in April 2002.

Commercial performance

Innocence debuted on the Oricon Weekly Albums chart at number 39 with 6,290 copies sold in its first week. [2] [3] The album charted for two weeks and has sold a total of 10,020 copies. [2] [3]
