InterContinental Bali Resort is a five-star hotel and resort in Jimbaran in southern Bali, Indonesia. It is operated by the InterContinental Hotels Group. The hotel overlooks Jimbaran Bay. The hotel has 418 rooms and fuses elements of traditional Balinese architecture with modern western architecture.
The Jimbaran Gardens serves seafood, Indonesian & international cuisine, as well as casual dining at the poolside. The KO Japanese Restaurant specialises in Japanese cuisine. The hotel also has the Saraswati Lobby Lounge, Sunset Beach Bar, Club Lounge and Bella Cucina Italian Restaurant. Kuta is a tourist area, administratively an urban village (kelurahan), and the capital of Kuta District, Badung Regency, southern Bali, Indonesia. The 2005 Bali bombings were a series of terrorist attacks that occurred on 1 October 2005 in Bali, Indonesia. Bombs were detonated at two sites in Jimbaran Beach resort and in Kuta 30 km (19 mi) away, both in south Bali. The attacks claimed the lives of 20 people and injured more than 100 others. In Indonesia, the attacks was known as the Second Bali Bombing to distinguish it from the 2002 attacks.
Jimbaran is an Indonesian fishing village and tourist resort in southern Bali, administered under South Kuta District of Badung Regency. Located south of Ngurah Rai International Airport at the "neck" of the Bukit Peninsula, the village is renowned as a culinary destination, with stalls selling seafood saturating the area. Diners select the live seafood that they wish to eat, and it is immediately prepared, generally grilled over a fire of coconut husks rather than charcoal.
