An intercity bus service or intercity coach service, also called a long-distance, express, over-the-road, commercial, long-haul, highway, or Greyhound bus or coach service, is a public transport service using coaches to carry passengers significant distances between different cities, towns, or other populated areas. Unlike a transit bus service, which has frequent stops throughout a city or town, an intercity bus service generally has a single stop at one location in or near a city, and travels long distances without stopping at all. Intercity bus services may be operated by government agencies or private industry, for profit and not for profit. Telangana State Road Transport Corporation is a state-owned corporation that runs bus transport services to and from the Indian state of Telangana. It was formed in 2014 by splitting the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. Many other Indian metro towns in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Odisha and Chhattisgarh are also linked with the services of TSRTC. It serves about 100.03 lakh passengers every day, having three zones and services operating through 97 depots.
The NSW TrainLink D sets are a class of 554 new carriages being built to replace NSW TrainLink's Intercity electric multiple unit fleet, replacing the entire V set fleet and allowing the H sets to be reallocated to Sydney suburban services. The trains will operate on services from Sydney to Newcastle, Lithgow and Kiama. The first trains were delivered in December 2019, and will enter service in 2020.
Traton SE, known as the Traton Group, is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group and one of the world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers with its MAN, Scania, and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus brands. The company also has digital services branded as RIO. In 2019, the Group sold around 242,000 vehicles. The range of products includes light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, as well as vans and buses. As of December 31, 2019, Traton employed around 83,000 people in its commercial vehicle brands.
