Honduras, officially the Republic of Honduras, is a country in Central America. The republic of Honduras is bordered to the west by Guatemala, to the southwest by El Salvador, to the southeast by Nicaragua, to the south by the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Fonseca, and to the north by the Gulf of Honduras, a large inlet of the Caribbean Sea.

La Ceiba is a municipality, the capital of the Honduran department of Atlántida and a port city on the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It is located on the southern edge of the Caribbean, forming part of the south eastern boundary of the Gulf of Honduras. With an estimated population of 199,080 living in approximately 170 residential areas, it is the fourth most populous and third most important city in the country.

Honduras national football team

The Honduras national football team represents Honduras in men's international football. The team is governed by the Federación Nacional Autónoma de Fútbol de Honduras (FENAFUTH). They are nicknamed Los Catrachos, La Bicolor or La H.

The Pech people, previously known as the Paya, are an indigenous ethnic group in north-eastern Honduras. According to a 2007 census conducted by indigenous organisations, 6, 024 people self-identified as being of Pech descent. This indigenous group primarily speak in their native tongue, the Pech language, which is a member of the Macro-Chibchan languages. Although, in recent developments, the language is mainly spoken by older generations and is in danger of being extinct in the relative near future. The Pech people reside in the north-eastern territories of Honduras, particularly in the areas of Colon, Gracias a Dios and Olancho. Since their migration to these areas, believed to have migrated from the southern areas of modern-day Colombia, the Pech people have undergone reduction to their land ownership and rights. The regions where the Pech people live were originally densely forested, however, has recently undergone deforestation. Many of the Pech's agricultural practices had to undergo reform, although, some traditional practices are still in place today. The Pech leaders continue to struggle to preserve their culture and language, putting the Pech people in danger of becoming extinct.

<i>Scivias</i>

Scivias is an illustrated work by Hildegard von Bingen, completed in 1151 or 1152, describing 26 religious visions she experienced. It is the first of three works that she wrote describing her visions, the others being Liber vitae meritorum and De operatione Dei. The title comes from the Latin phrase "Sci vias Domini". The book is illustrated by 35 miniature illustrations, more than that are included in her two later books of visions.

Manuel Keosseian, in Armenian Մանուել Քեոսեյան, is an Armenian Uruguayan former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. After he retired from playing, Keosseian became a manager and has led several clubs including Uruguayan side C.A. Peñarol.

The history of the Jews in Honduras begins in the colonial period, during the proceedings of the Inquisition. As of April 2020, in Honduras there are 390 Jews who haved gained the Honduran residence. Honduran Jews are able to practice Judaism peacefully and are included in Honduran politics and culture. The Jewish community is primarily concentrated in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, where there are synagogues. Honduras was one of the first countries to recognize the State of Israel, in 1948, and the Jewish community in Honduras has benefited greatly from Israeli aid.

<i>Avengers A.I.</i> Marvel comic book series

Avengers A.I. was an ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics that was released in July 2013, as part of the company's Marvel NOW! initiative. The series takes place after the events of Age of Ultron, where the world has been colonized by A.I.s "who may or may not have positive feelings about the way humanity has been treating them for the past 100 years." The series ended in April 2014.
