Bhojpur is one of the two urban municipalities of Bhojpur District of Province No. 1 of Nepal.
Phungling Municipality is a municipality located in Taplejung District in the Province No. 1 of Nepal. The municipality was formed merging the then two Village Development Committees of Phungling and Dokhu in May 2014. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 19,085 people and 4,480 individual households.

The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Pyuthan Khalanga, Bijubar, Dakha Kwadi, Bijaya Nagar, Dharmawati, Maranthana and Khaira village development committees. In 2017, when GoN restructured the local level bodies into 753 units, Pyuthan Municipality was also restructured excluding ward no. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 18 from old structure, further two other VDC; Majhkot and Dumri added and managed the municipality into 10 new wards.
Nilkantha Municipality is a Municipality in Dhading District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014, merging with the existing Nilkantha, Sunaula Bazar, Murali Bhanjyang, and Sangkosh village development committees. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 1,975 and had 9,667 houses in it.
Mahat Gaun is a market center in Chandannath Municipality in Jumla District in the Karnali Zone of north-western Nepal. The formerly village development committee was merged with Mahat Gaun, Talium, Kartik Swami, Chandannath village development committees to form the new municipality. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2501 persons living in 496 individual households.
Bijuwar is a town and market center in Pyuthan Municipality in Pyuthan, a Middle Hills district of Rapti Zone, western Nepal. The former Village Development Committee along with Pyuthan Khalanga, Bijubar, Dakha Kwadi, Bijaya Nagar, Dharmawati, Maranthana and Khaira were merged to form the new municipality since 18 May 2014. Bijuwar is the main commercial center in the valley of Jhimruk Khola.
Gaunshahar is a town and market place at Besishahar Municipality in Lamjung District in Gandaki Province of northern-central Nepal. The Besishahar Municipality was formed by merging the existing Village Development Committees i.e. Besishahar, Gaunshahar, Udipur & Chandisthan on May 15, 2014. The temple of Lamjung Kalika & Lamjung Durbar are located here. This place is in the way of Annapurna Conservation Area. The Dumre-Besishahar-Chame highway also goes from this place. The formerly village development committee was transformed into municipality merging the existing village development committees i.e. Atrouli, Sasapur, Dhaurkauli and Hariyon on May 18, 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4888 people living in 894 individual households.

At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 7336 people living in 1253 individual households.
Lalbandi is a Municipality in Sarlahi District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Parwanipur VDC, Netragung vdc, Jabdi, Lalbandi and Pattharkot VDCs. At the time of the 2021 Nepal Census, it had a population of 67,507 living in 13905 individual households. There are 17 wards in this municipality. It is the largest municipality in Sarlahi district. The office of this municipality is in ward no.6 Located in the Lalbandi. Lalbandi Bazar, located on the East West Mahendra highway, is one of the main trading areas within the municipal area. Bordering East Ishwarpur Municipality, West Hariwan and Haripur Municipality, North Sindhuli District and bordering Haripur and Ishwarpur in the south, Lalbandi Bazar is the main trading site of the district.

The formerly village development committee was transformed into municipality merging the existing village development committees i.e. Atrouli, Sasapur, Dhaurkauli and Hariyon on May 18, 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4563 people living in 838 individual households.
Khalanga is market center in Sharada Municipality in Salyan District of Karnali Province of Nepal. The place formerly existing as Village Development Committee was annexed to form a new municipality since 18 May 2014. It is the district headquarter of Salyan District. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 6380.
Chandrapur Municipality is a Municipality in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone in Madhesh Province of southern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging Chandranigahapur, Judibela, Paurai, Santpur Matioun, Dumariya Matioun VDCs.
Musikot is a municipality and the district headquarter of Western Rukum District in Karnali Province of Nepal that was established as Musikot Khalanga on 2 December 2014 by merging the two former Village development committees Musikot and Khalanga. It lies on the bank of Sani Bheri River. It borders with Eastern Rukum in the east, Sanibheri rural municipality in the west, Banfikot rural municipality in the north and Tribeni rural municipality and Rolpa district in the south. Once a red fort of CPN, Musikot is now ruled by Nepali Congress since the year 2022 and Maoists have finally lost both mayoral and deputy mayoral post.
Birpur is a town in Shivaraj Municipality in Kapilvastu District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. The former village development committee was transformed into Municipality from 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Birpur, Nepal, Chanai, Bishunpur, Jawabhari and Shivapur village development committees. At the time of the 2001 Nepal census it had a population of 15255 people living in 1209 individual households.
Shivaraj is a Municipality in Kapilvastu District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. The former village development committee was transformed into Municipality from 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Birpur, Nepal, Chanai, Bishunpur, Jawabhari and Shivapur village development committees. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 7241 people living in 1067 individual households.
A municipality in Nepal is an administrative division in the Provinces of Nepal. The urban population of Nepal refers to the inhabitants residing in the designated municipal area. Population size has been taken as the principal criteria in the declaration of urban areas in Nepal since 1961. Municipalities can therefore also include rural areas. It functions as a sub-unit of a district. Nepal currently has 293 municipalities, which given the 2011 population estimate of 16,656,057.
Sarlahi 2 is one of four parliamentary constituencies of Sarlahi District in Nepal. This constituency came into existence on the Constituency Delimitation Commission (CDC) report submitted on 31 August 2017.
