Ivan Aleksandrovich Shtyl is a Russian sprint canoeist who has competed since 2004. He won eighteen medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with twelve golds and six silvers. He has also won an Olympic bronze medal, at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's C-1 200 m, but after the original silver medalist Jevgenij Shuklin of Lithuania got disqualified due to dopping, Ivan was finally promoted to silver in 2021.

Ivan Gubijan was a Yugoslav hammer thrower. He competed in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics and placed second and ninth, respectively. He is credited with introducing the four-turn throwing technique, which is widely used today.

Ivan Kizimov was a Soviet and Russian equestrian and Olympic champion. He was born in Novocherkassk. He won an individual gold medal in dressage at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, and a gold medal in team dressage at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He won a bronze medal in individual dressage at the 1970 Dressage World Championship, and team medals in 1966 (bronze), 1970 (gold) and 1974 (silver). Ivan Markov is a Bulgarian weightlifter competing in the 85 kg category. He is the younger brother of former world champion weightlifter Georgi Markov. He placed fifth at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Markov also qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics but he was one of eleven Bulgarian weightlifters who tested positive for a banned steroid two months prior to the games. Bulgaria withdrew its whole team from the Olympic competition and Markov received a four-year ban from competition.

Ivan Efremov is an Uzbekistani heavyweight weightlifter. He competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics and placed fifth in the −105 kg division on both occasions. Efremov is an ethnic Russian. He is married to Daria and has a daughter named Ulyana. Following disqualifications of other competitors, in 2020 Efremov was allocated the Olympic bronze medal for the 105kg lift at the 2012 Olympics.

Ivan Viktorovych Dovhodko is a Ukrainian rower. He competed in the quadruple sculls at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, setting a new world's best time. He has won a gold, two silvers and a bronze in the quadruple sculls at European level.
