Izet Ibrahimi (born 1 January 1962) is an Albanian retired politician from Kosovo,and a former mayor of Drenas. He is currently a lecturer.
Izet Ibrahimi was born in Zabel i Ultëin Drenas,Kosovo to Albanian parents. He finished high school in Pristina in 1981, [2] later attending the Faculty of Geoscience and Technology of the University of Pristina,from which he graduated in 1986.
Ibrahimi graduated from the University of Pristina in 1986,he earned a degree in engineering. In 1995 he enrolled in postgraduate studies at FXM. He earned the title Master of Technical Sciences. Ibrahimi submitted a doctoral thesis in 2008 titled "Opportunities to bramces exploitation of Ferronickel for producing construction materials",defending it at the Faculty of Geoscience and Technology of University of Pristina and received the academic title of Doctor of Technical Sciences.
Ibrahimi has served as the chairman of the Independent Union of "Ferronikel",chairman of the Municipal Council for Finance,and political chairman of the KLA in the "Operative Zone" of Drenas.
Following the adoption of UNSCR 1244,he co-founded the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) in Drenas. He was a member of the General Board for three terms. In the first democratic elections after the Kosovo War,he ran for Mayor of Drenas,winning with an approval rate of over 90%.[ vague ]
After leaving the PDK,Ibrahimi founded the "Citizens Initiative for Glogovac",a political movement that opposed the misrule in Drenas. Following his retirement from politics,he is now a lecturer at the UM at the Faculty of Geoscience and Metallurgy.[ clarification needed ]
Ibrahimi is married to Hanumshahe Zogaj,a geoscience engineer,with whom he has three children:Qëndrim,Hekuran and Erëza.
Ibrahim Rugova was a Kosovo-Albanian politician,scholar,and writer,who served as the President of the partially recognised Republic of Kosova,serving from 1992 to 2000 and as President of Kosovo from 2002 until his death in 2006. He oversaw a popular struggle for independence,advocating a peaceful resistance to Yugoslav rule and lobbying for U.S. and European support,especially during the Kosovo War.

The University of Pristina is a public university located in Pristina,Kosovo. It is the institution that emerged after the disestablishment of the University of Pristina (1969–1999) as a result of the Kosovo War. The inauguration of the university was a historical occurrence not only for the people of Kosovo,but for the whole Albanian nation. On 15 February,the solemn Parliament session took place,which is also proclaimed as The University of Pristina's Day. In the composition of the newly established University of Pristina were faculties with their headquarters in Pristina:the Faculty of Philosophy,Faculty of Law and Economics,Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine. Now the University of Pristina has 17 faculties,of which 14 are academic faculties and 3 are faculties of applied sciences. Contained within the emblem is a translation of the name into Latin,Universitas Studiorum Prishtiniensis.

Veseli was one of the founders and leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army. He also was the chief of the Kosovo Intelligence Service,a post-war state intelligence organisation. In 2020,he was indicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Kosovo War.
