Jacob Burney (born January 24, 1959 in Chattanooga, Tennessee) is an American football coach and former player.
He was a four-year starter at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga but went undrafted. He had tryouts with the Detroit Lions but was not signed to their roster.
He coached in the college ranks for 11 years for the University of New Mexico, University of Tulsa, Mississippi State University, University of Wisconsin, UCLA, and University of Tennessee.
In 1994, he joined the Cleveland Browns to become their defensive line coach; he stayed there until 1998. In 1999, he joined the Carolina Panthers to be their defensive line coach and coached there until 2001. In 2002, he was hired for the same position by the Denver Broncos. Burney worked as defensive line coach for the Washington Redskins from 2010-14. The 2013 Redskins defensive line helped the team rank fourth in third-down conversion percentage (34.0) and tied for second in negative rushing plays by opponents (72). In 2014, his defensive line helped the Redskins rank 12th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed and the defense posted 36 sacks.
Burney was hired by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2016 to coach defensive line, rejoining Marvin Lewis from their Baltimore Ravens days, and replacing Jay Hayes who departed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Charles Richard LeBeau is a former American football cornerback and coach in the National Football League (NFL). LeBeau was active with the NFL for 59 consecutive seasons, 14 as a player with the Detroit Lions and 45 as a coach. He spent the majority of his coaching career as a defensive assistant, most notably as the defensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Described as an "innovator" and "defensive football genius", he is considered to be one of the greatest defensive coordinators of all time.
Chris Samuels is a former American college and professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons. He played college football for the University of Alabama, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. Selected third overall in the 2000 NFL Draft, Samuels played his entire pro career for the NFL's Washington Redskins and was a six-time Pro Bowl selection.

Russell Scott Grimm is an American former professional football player who was a guard for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He has also served as an assistant coach for the Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, and Tennessee Titans. As a professional, Grimm had multiple selections to both the All-Pro and Pro Bowl teams, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010. Grimm played 11 seasons for the Redskins and was a first-team selection to the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team.

Ryan has served as a defensive coordinator or assistant coach for seven different NFL teams. He was the linebackers coach for the New England Patriots when they won both Super Bowl XXXVI and Super Bowl XXXVIII. Ryan is the son of Buddy Ryan and the twin brother of Rex Ryan.
Richard Blair Modzelewski was an American football defensive tackle in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, and the Cleveland Browns. He also served as interim head coach of the Browns in the final game of the 1977 season. Modzelewski was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
Hue Jackson is an American football coach. He has served as the head coach for the Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns and has been an offensive coordinator for multiple teams. Before joining Oakland, Jackson served as an offensive assistant coach for several NFL teams, most notably as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins under Steve Spurrier and the Atlanta Falcons under Bobby Petrino. Jackson's 3–36–1 record over two-and-a-half seasons with the Browns is the worst record that a head coach has recorded while presiding over an NFL team for at least 40 games.
Michael John Trgovac is an American football coach and a former player who is a senior defensive assistant for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the defensive line coach for the Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins, and Philadelphia Eagles. Trgovac was a member of the Packers' coaching staff that led the team to the NFL championship in Super Bowl XLV in 2011. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Trgovac played college football as a middle guard for the University of Michigan from 1977 to 1980. He received All-Big Ten Conference honors in both 1979 and 1980. After graduating from Michigan, Trgovac held various college coaching positions from 1984 to 1994.
William V. Lazor is an American football coach and former player who is the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Lazor has previously served as the quarterbacks coach for the Washington Redskins, Seattle Seahawks, and Philadelphia Eagles. He is also the former offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals. He played college football as a quarterback for Cornell University from 1991 to 1993.

Jeremy Pruitt is an American football coach. He most recently served as the head coach at the University of Tennessee from 2018 to 2020. He also previously served as the defensive coordinator at the University of Alabama from 2016 to 2017, University of Georgia from 2014 to 2015, and Florida State University in 2013. As a defensive coordinator, Pruitt's defenses frequently ranked in the top ten nationally in total defense and related categories. Pruitt worked for Alabama as Director of Player Development (2007–2009) before becoming the Crimson Tide's defensive backs coach in 2010. Prior to joining the college ranks, he served as an assistant coach at the high school level. Pruitt was a 2013 finalist for the Broyles Award, given annually to the nation's top college football assistant coach, and was again a finalist in 2016. He played college football at Middle Tennessee and Alabama.
Chris Jones is a former American football and Canadian football coach. He was the head coach and general manager of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League for three seasons, after serving as the head coach of the Edmonton Football Team for 2 seasons. He has also been the defensive coordinator for the Montreal Alouettes, Calgary Stampeders, and Toronto Argonauts. Jones has won 4 Grey Cup rings with 4 teams: Montreal in 2002, Calgary in 2008, Toronto in 2012, and Edmonton in 2015.
Marcus David Satterfield is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for South Carolina. Satterfield served as the head football coach at Tennessee Tech University from 2016 to 2017. He was the offensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee at Martin (2006–2008), the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2009–2012), and Temple University (2013–2014). He was an assistant coach at Richmond during the 2004 season and Western Carolina in 2005. Satterfield played college football at East Tennessee State University.
The 2016 Tennessee Volunteers football team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This was the program's 120th overall season, 83rd as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and 25th within the SEC Eastern Division. The Volunteers played their home games at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee and were led by fourth-year head coach Butch Jones. They finished the season 9–4, 4–4 in SEC play to finish in a three-way tie for second place in the Eastern Division. They were invited to the Music City Bowl where they defeated Nebraska.
