Jacob D. Justice (born September 6,1988) [1] is an American politician currently serving as a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from Kentucky's 94th House district. His district includes Letcher County as well as parts of Harlen and Pike counties. [1]
Justice was born on September 6,1988,in Pikeville,Kentucky. After graduating from East Ridge High School,he earned an associate degree from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Pikeville in 2013. [3] In 2017,Justice earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville. After graduation,Justice joined his father's dental practice in Elkhorn City.
Outside of politics,Justice serves as a member of the Pike County Health Department's Board of Directors and is an active Shriner. [3]
Pike County is a county in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 Census,the population was 58,669. Its county seat is Pikeville. The county was founded in 1821. With regard to the sale of alcohol,it is classified as a moist county––a county in which alcohol sales are prohibited,but containing a "wet" city. There are three cities in the county,Pikeville,Elkhorn City,and Coal Run Village,where package alcohol sales are legal.
Letcher County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census,the population was 21,548. Its county seat is Whitesburg. It was created in 1842 from Harlan and Perry counties,and named for Robert P. Letcher,Governor of Kentucky from 1840 to 1844.
