Jacques Jouffret is a French cinematographer.
Jouffret was raised in Paris, and would graduate from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. [1]
He worked as a camera operator and Steadicam operator on various feature and television films, including Gummo , The Pentagon Wars , Swordfish , Seabiscuit , Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen , Transformers: Dark of the Moon , and Transformers: The Last Knight . [1] In 2008, he won the Society of Camera Operators' Camera Operator of the Year Award for Into the Wild . [2]
Jouffret's credits as cinematographer include the first three installments of The Purge film series, [1] Mile 22 , [3] and Bloodshot , an adaptation of the Valiant Comics comic book series. [4] In 2020, Jouffret served as cinematographer for Songbird , noted for being filmed during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic in California. [5] He became a member of the American Society of Cinematographers in 2023. [1] His upcoming credits include Arthur the King , [1] and Gran Turismo , an adaptation of the video game franchise directed by Neill Blomkamp. [6]

László KovácsASC was a Hungarian-American cinematographer who was influential in the development of American New Wave films in the 1970s, collaborating with directors including Peter Bogdanovich, Richard Rush, Dennis Hopper, Norman Jewison, and Martin Scorsese. Known for his work on Easy Rider (1969) and Five Easy Pieces (1970), Kovács was the recipient of numerous awards, including three Lifetime Achievement Awards. He was an active member of the American Society of Cinematographers and was a member of the organization's board of directors.

He is known for his collaborations with directors such as Michael Mann, Michael Apted, Ermanno Olmi, Bruce Beresford, Curtis Hanson, and Brett Ratner. He received Academy Award nominations for L.A. DeLuxe Color or Deluxe color or Color by DeLuxe is Deluxe Laboratories' brand of color process for motion pictures. DeLuxe Color is Eastmancolor-based, with certain adaptations for improved compositing for printing and for mass-production of prints. Eastmancolor, first introduced in 1950, was one of the first widely-successful "single strip color" processes, and eventually displaced three-strip Technicolor.
Rachel Morrison is an American cinematographer and director. For her work on Mudbound (2017), Morrison became the first woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography. She has twice worked with director Ryan Coogler, as cinematographer on the films Fruitvale Station (2013) and Black Panther (2018). Morrison's feature film directorial debut is the biographical sports drama The Fire Inside (2024).
The Safety for Sarah movement is a campaign for increased safety in film production, named in memory of Sarah Jones, a camera assistant on Midnight Rider who was killed by a train during filming as a result of unsafe actions by the film's director and producer.

The Visual Effects Society Award for Outstanding Model in a Photoreal or Animated Project is one of the annual awards given by the Visual Effects Society. The award goes to artists whose work in models, miniatures, have been deemed worthy of recognition. Originally, the award was given separately to artists in both film and television, with the categories "Best Models and Miniatures in a Motion Picture" and "Best Models and Miniatures in a Televised Program, Music Video or Commercial". In 2004, there was only one category, recognizing only work in motion pictures with "Outstanding Models and Miniatures in a Motion Picture". In 2005, television was honored, once again, with "Outstanding Models and Miniatures in a Broadcast Program, Commercial or Music Video". Television series and/or televised content would be honored, intermittently, until 2015, when the category was redesigned to honor any motion media project. It has continued to do so since then.

The award goes to artists whose work in virtual cinematography. It was first awarded in 2003 and 2004 for, under the title "Best Visual Effects Photography in a Motion Picture", before being scrapped from the ceremony. The award was given separately to artists in live-action film, animated film, and commercials/television. These categories were first awarded in 2012. The following year, the category specifically awarding animated film was dropped, with only live-action film and commercial/television being awarded. In 2015, only live-action films were awarded. The following year, the category's title changed to "Outstanding Virtual Cinematography in a Photoreal Project". It has held its current title since 2020.
Polly Morgan is a British cinematographer who has worked on the studio feature films Lucy in the Sky (2019), A Quiet Place Part II (2020), Where the Crawdads Sing (2022), and The Woman King (2022). She was also the cinematographer for multiple episodes of the TV series Legion (2017–2019). Morgan is accredited by the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) and the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). To date, she is the only woman to be a member of both, and she is the youngest member of ASC.
The American Society of Cinematographers Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography in Motion Picture, Limited Series, or Pilot Made for Television is an annual award given by the American Society of Cinematographers to cinematographers working in the field of television film, limited series or television pilots. It has been awarded, in some capacity, since 1986. From 2009 to 2013, pilot episodes were moved in competition with regular series, but returned in 2014, where it has since remained.

On-set virtual production (OSVP) is an entertainment technology for television and film production in which LED panels are used as a backdrop for a set, on which video or computer-generated imagery can be displayed in real-time. The 37th American Society of Cinematographers Awards were held and livestreamed worldwide on March 5, 2023, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, to honor the best cinematographers of film and television in 2022. For her work on Elvis, Mandy Walker became the first woman to win for Theatrical Feature Film.
