Jacquline Lydia (born 8 February 1996) is an Indian actress and television presenter who appears in Tamil language television shows and films. Jacquline made her debut with the 2006 coming of age Tamil series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal . [2] [3] She went on to participate in the reality TV show Bigg Boss 8 in 2024 [4] where she made history as the most nominated contestant of Indian Bigg Boss franchise. [5]

Early life

Jacquline was born on 8th February 1996 in the village Pannur, Tamil Nadu, India. She later did her schooling at ST. Mary Matriculation high school in Chennai. She later completed her degree in of Visual communication in Loyola College, Chennai. [6] [7]

Career

She started her career on Star Vijay as an actress in the coming of age drama Kana Kaanum Kaalangal in 2006. Later in 2014, And then she acted in the serial Andal Azhagar which was also telecasted on Star Vijay. In 2015, she hosted the comedy show Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? alongside with Rakshan. In 2018, she played the supporting role of Shobi in the film Kolamaavu Kokila playing as the younger sister of Nayanthara in the film. [12]

In 2019, she played the lead role in the serial Thaenmozhi B.A which aired on Star Vijay and received praise for her role as the lead by audience. [13] [14] In 2024, she became participated as a contestant on the Tamil reality series Big Boss , participating in its 8th season, and she was evicted from the house after failing to complete the Cash Grab Run Task on Day 102 at 6th place [15] [16] . She became the most nominated and the most saved contestant by audience votes in Indian Bigg Boss franchise and she is the only contestant to get evicted due to a task in Bigg Boss Tamil .
