Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat(JKP), previously known as Sadhna Bhawan Trust, is a charitable religious organization [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] in India. It was established in 1970 by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj [7] [8] and continues to be run today by the three presidents Kripalu appointed. [1] [9] [10] [11] He established three major temples: Bhakti Mandir in Mangarh, Prem Mandir in Vrindavan, and Kirti Mandir in Barsana. [2]
Under the umbrella of JKP, three main philanthropic groups were established by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. In March 2020, in continuing the legacy of humanitarian and philanthropic efforts of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, JKP Presidents Vishakha Tripathi Ji, Shyama Tripathi Ji, and Krishna Tripathi Ji have confirmed a contribution of Rs 10,000,000 to the Prime Minister's CARES Fund. [2] This initiative was taken to help the Uttar Pradesh state government in its fight against the COVID-19 outbreak. [2]
The first philanthropic group is Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya (JKC), a free charitable hospital [3] [17] group that was established in 2003. The setup of JKC began with the construction of two hospitals in Uttar Pradesh: first in Kunda in November 2003 [18] [2] and second in Barsana in January 2007. [18] [2] JKC has helped thousands of sick villagers in these remote locations in India, where there is a lack of medical facilities. In September 2015, JKC opened its third facility in Vrindavan, [2] [18] housing important medical equipment, doctors' and nurses' living quarters, as well as 100 beds to treat patients. These hospitals provide healthcare facilities to poor people in the villages. [2]
The second group under JKP is Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education [19] [20] (JKPE), which provides free schooling to over 5,000 village girls [21] [3] living near and around Kunda. [2] The education covers pre-primary to post-graduate levels. [2] using high-quality technology and amenities [22] through three institutions in Pratapgarh, [2] Uttar Pradesh. [22] Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education provides education to underprivileged girls from Pratapgarh and nearby areas, and has helped over 55,000 children from these areas. [2] Warm jackets and food bowls are provided regularly for school children from Pratapgarh, Vrindavan, and Barsana. [6]
The third group is JKP's task of providing social services in as many ways as possible. [21] This is done through the various funds to help widows, the poor, and the underprivileged. [23] As of April 2020, 35,000 (Thirty-five thousand) impoverished people had been given resources by JKP in December 2019 to stay comfortable during winter. [6] The Poor Relief Fund, which operates under JKP, assists in providing warm blankets, jackets, clothing, food items, school bags, furniture (such as benches or chairs), and many other necessities to nearly 100,000 impoverished individuals every year, to residents of Braj, in Vrindavan and Barsana.
