Los Angeles Dodgers

On January 8, 2019, the Rays traded Schultz to the Los Angeles Dodgers for minor league pitcher Caleb Sampen. [18] He appeared in only four games for the Dodgers, allowing four runs to score in five innings while spending most of the year with the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers. In the minors he appeared in 47 games with a 5.85 ERA. The Dodgers designated him for assignment on September 12. [19]

Oakland Athletics

On November 25, 2019, Schultz signed a minor league deal with the Oakland Athletics. [20] Schultz did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. [21] He became a free agent on November 2, 2020.

Seattle Mariners

On February 1, 2021, Schultz signed a minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training with the Seattle Mariners. [22] Schultz worked to a 15.00 ERA in 5 appearances for the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers before he was released by the organization on September 20. [23] Schultz did not make a professional appearance in 2022 while he dealt with an oblique issue.

Gastonia Honey Hunters

On January 25, 2023, Schultz signed a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays organization. [24] He was released by the Rays on April 12. [25]

On April 28, 2023, Schultz signed with the Gastonia Honey Hunters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. [26] In 27 games for Gastonia, he registered a 4.05 ERA with 44 strikeouts and 9 saves in 26+23 innings pitched. On July 11, Schultz retired from professional baseball. [27]
