James Harkins (born December 29,1953) is an American politician who served as Director of Maryland Environmental Services from 2005 until March 2016. He also is a former Harford County Executive and Delegate for District 35A. In December 2019,Maryland Governor Larry Hogan appointed Harkins to the University of Maryland Medical System board of directors.
Harkins attended Bel Air High School. He received his A.A. from Harford Community College.
Harkins joined the Harford County Sheriff's Office and was eventually promoted to sergeant. He was awarded Police Officer of the Year - Harford County by the Baltimore Sun in 1981 and Deputy of the Year,Harford County Sheriff's Department,1981.
He chaired the Republican Central Committee,Harford County,1987–90. In 1996,he was elected as Delegate,Republican Party National Convention,1996,2000,2004.
In 1998,Harkins was elected as Harford County Executive. He served in this office until June 30,2005 when Governor Robert Ehrlich appointed him to be Director of Maryland Environmental Service.

David George Boschert was an American politician. Boschert was most recently a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 33A in the Maryland General Assembly. During his political career he played roles in both the Republican Party and Democratic Party.
David R. Craig is an American Republican Party politician from the State of Maryland who unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for Governor of Maryland in 2014. He was appointed, and sworn in as Harford County Executive on July 7, 2005. Craig was elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010. Craig previously served in the Maryland State Senate in 1995–99 representing Harford County and in 1990-94 in the Maryland House of Delegates. He was also elected Mayor of Havre de Grace from 1985 to 1989 and 2001 to 2005. David was a teacher and assistant principal in the Harford County Public School System for thirty-four years.
Donna Stifler was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 35A, Harford County in 2006 after defeating incumbent Joanne Parrott.
Joanne Parrott was elected as a member of Maryland House of Delegates, District 35A, which serves Harford County. She won one of two seats, along with Barry Glassman, defeating incumbent Michael G. Comeau and winning the seat left vacant by James M. Harkins, who was elected as Harford County Executive. She served for about 8 years before being defeated in the Republican Primary by challenger Donna Stifler in 2006.

Glassman was originally elected to the Maryland House of Delegates, District 35A in 1998, along with Joanne S. Parrott, defeating incumbent Michael G. Comeau and winning the seat left vacant by James M. Harkins, who was elected as Harford County Executive. He was the Republican nominee for Comptroller of Maryland in the 2022 election, which he lost to state delegate Brooke Lierman.

Michael G. Comeau is an attorney and former member of the Maryland House of Delegates where he represented District 35A. Comeau was appointed to the seat in 1997 due to the resignation of Donald C. Fry and served on the Judiciary Committee. He was elected in 1996 as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago representing the Second Congressional District for Maryland. He was also elected to the Harford County Democratic State Central Committee in 2002 and 2006 and served as Chair from 2003 until 2008 when he was appointed to the Harford County Board of Elections where he served until 2011. Comeau was the Democratic nominee for the Harford County Council, District D, in 2002 and was defeated by Republican Lance C. Miller.
Mary Ann Lisanti is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party, who represented District 34A in the Maryland House of Delegates. Previously she represented district F on the Harford County Council, representing Havre de Grace, Abingdon, Belcamp/Riverside and Aberdeen Proving Ground. In January 2014 Lisanti filed to run for the Maryland House of Delegates and to not seek a 3rd term on the County Council. In early March 2019, the House of Delegates unanimously censured Lisanti for a racial slur directed at the African-American majority Prince George's County, with her own county's Democratic Party calling for her resignation.
Christian Joseph Miele is an American lawyer and politician. A Republican, he was a member of the Maryland Senate from January 5, 2023, to January 11, 2023, and of the Maryland House of Delegates from January 14, 2015, to January 9, 2019. Miele was appointed to serve as Deputy Secretary of the Maryland Department of Disabilities in the administration of Governor Larry Hogan on January 9, 2019. He resigned this post to become a member of the Maryland Senate on January 5, 2023, representing Maryland's 34th Legislative District.
