Jamiu Damilare Tajudeen (born 25 October 1995), known professionally as Jamopyper, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. [1] [2] He signed a record deal with Zlatan Ibile's Zanku Records in 2020 [3] and was nominated for Rookie of The Year at The Headies 2020. [4] [5]
Jamiu Damilare Tajudeen was born on 25 October 1995 in Egbeda, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a native of Iganna, Oyo State, Nigeria. He received his primary education at Topaz Emerald School, Egbeda, and secondary at Millennium Secondary School, Egbeda. [2]
Jamopyper originally planned to become a mechanical engineer. However, his future career shifted when he began to receive accolades for his performances at small gatherings at the age of 12, leading him to pursue a career in music instead. He started his professional music career in 2015, drawing inspiration from artists such as Akon, Rihanna, Wizkid, Davido, and 9ice. [2]
His single release "Omode Meta" [6] , featuring Zlatan and Naira Marley, spotlighted him in 2018, followed by another single, "Josi" featuring Zlatan and Chinko Ekun, [6] gaining him more popularity in the Nigerian music space.
His career began receiving attention following the release of the song "Of Lala" [7] which topped music video charts in Nigeria for weeks and culminated with the release of the hit single "If No Be You," featuring Mayorkun. [8] In an interview with Vanguard Nigeria, he said, "I am excited about the dimension my musical career has taken. I have a lot of songs coming out, and I am with my team and what they have lined up for me. The competition may be rife, but I am only concentrating on getting better and making good music." [9]
His career hit another milestone when he was signed to Zanku Records, owned by Zlatan In 2019. [10] He has also been featured on several records with other artists.
In 2020, Jamopyper was nominated by the The Headies 2020 awards as Rookie of the Year [11] [5] alongside Omah Lay, Laycon, and Tems.

The Headies is a music awards show established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The annual ceremony features performances by established and promising artists. It is broadcast live on HipTV to viewers across Nigeria. The first and second editions of The Headies were held at the Muson Center in Onikan, Lagos State. Between 2010 and 2012, the awards were held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Several media personalities in Nigeria have hosted the annual ceremony, including Darey Art Alade, D'banj, Dakore Egbuson, Banky W., Rita Dominic, M.I, Tiwa Savage and Dr SID.
Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, who is better known as Kizz Daniel, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in 2014 with his debut single, "Woju". He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013, but left the label following a publicized contract dispute and court case. He founded the Flyboy I.N.C record label in November 2017.
