Janjot Singh is a Punjabi film director associated with Rhythm Boyz Production. He started his career assisting the direction for films Jatt James Bond (2014) and Sardaar Ji (2015), and made his direction debut in 2019 with Chal Mera Putt (2019), which became the highest-grossing Punjabi films overseas. [1] [2] Also, the film was nominated for Best Comedy Film, and Singh was nominated for Best Debut Director at PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2020. [3]

<i>Jatt & Juliet 2</i> 2013 Indian romantic comedy film

Jatt & Juliet 2 is a 2013 Indian Punjabi romance comedy film directed by Anurag Singh. The film is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Jatt & Juliet, however not directly or story-wise. Actors Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa reprise their roles from the previous film in the sequel amongst other characters. The film released on 28 June 2013, almost a year after the release of the prequel, and received a positive response at the box office. Jatt & Juliet 2 went on to become the highest-grossing Punjabi film ever, thus beating the record previously held by the first Jatt & Juliet film. Jatt and Juliet 2 is the first ever Punjabi movie to be released on Blu-ray. The movie was remade in Bengali in 2018 as Inspector Notty K. A sequel, Jatt & Juliet 3, was released on June 27, 2024.

Baljit Singh Padam, better known by his stage name Dr. Zeus, is a British-Indian composer, singer and producer of Punjabi music who has also worked in Indian films. He rose to fame in 2003 with his song "Kangna", which was voted the best song on BBC Asian Network in the same year. His other hits are "Don't Be Shy" and "Jugni Ji". He has worked with singer Kanika Kapoor for the song "Jugni Ji" and with musician Jaz Dhami for the song "Zulfa". His song "Aag Ka Dariya" features on the Four Lions film soundtrack. A music video was also produced featuring model Yana Gupta and singers Ravindra & DJ Shortie.

The 10th PTC Punjabi Film Awards ceremony, presented by PTC Punjabi, honored the best Punjabi films of 2019, and will be held online. It is the first time the award is being held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The curtain raiser for the awards was held on 29 May 2020 on PTC Punjabi. The award ceremony was online on 3 July 2020, and was hosted by Gurpreet Ghuggi, Divya Dutta, Harish Verma, and Gurnam Bhullar. Ardaas Karaan won the most six awards, including Best Film, Best Actor and Best Director, followed by Chal Mera Putt, which won three awards including Best Comedy Film and Best Actor critics'.
