Java Soulnation was a music festival concept offering youth-characterized music (R&B, hip hop, rap and soul) in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was announced in 2014 that the festival was merged with Java Rockin'land into Java Soundsfair.

The first Java Soulnation was held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia on 17 and 18 October 2008.

The annual jazz festival is held every early March and was designed to be one of the largest jazz festivals globally. It was held for the first time in 2005, when approximately 125 groups and 1,405 artists performed in 146 shows. The first festival was attended by 47,500 visitors during its three-day stretch. The festival, which is also known simply as Java Jazz, was founded by Indonesian businessman Peter F. Gontha. Since 2022, the festival has moved to the end of May or early June. In 2025, the festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The Bung Karno Sports Complex, better known as Gelora Bung Karno and formerly named the Asian Games Complex (Indonesian: Kompleks Asian Games and the Senayan Sports Complex from 1969 to 2001, is a sports complex located in Gelora, Central Jakarta, bordering the Senayan, South Jakarta because of its large location. Originally built with substantial Soviet assistance, this sports complex was a brain child of Sukarno, the first President of Indonesia, in order to host the 1962 Asian Games. This sports complex consists of a main stadium, secondary stadium, the Sports Palace, football fields, aquatic stadium, tennis stadiums, hockey, baseball and archery fields, and several indoor gymnasiums.
