Javier Bermejo Merino (born 23 December 1978 in Puertollano [1] ) is a Spanish athlete specializing in the high jump. He competed at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics without qualifying for the final. [2]

Javier Culson Pérez is a Puerto Rican athlete and Olympiad bronze medalist who specialises in the 400-metre hurdles. After becoming involved with the discipline in his late teen years, he entered the podium in some regional youth events, including the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. Culson is a two-time silver medallist at the International Association of Athletics Federations's (IAAF) World Championships and an elite contender in the Samsung Diamond League, where he finished second overall in 2011. He has also garnished medals in events with lower profiles, including the Central American and Caribbean Games and the Ibero-American Championships. He currently holds the record as "the world's fastest man" in that category. Culson also competed at the 2012 Olympics in London winning the bronze medal in the 400-metre hurdles race. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Culson made it all the way to the finals of the men's 400m hurdles only to be disqualified by a false start.
Mutaz Essa Barshim is a Qatari track and field athlete who competes in the high jump and is the current Olympic Champion (2020). He is also the current World Champion and second highest jumper of all-time with a personal best of 2.43. He won gold at the 2017 World Championships in London and at the 2019 World Championships in Doha. At the Olympics, Barshim originally won the full set of medals with bronze at the London 2012 Summer Olympics, silver at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, and shared gold at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. In 2021, his bronze in the London 2012 Summer Olympics was promoted to silver in a three-way tie for second due to disqualification of the original gold medalist. He was the Asian Indoor and World Junior champion in 2010, and won the high jump gold medals at the 2011 Asian Athletics Championships and 2011 Military World Games. He holds the Asian record in high jump.
The 2002 Ibero-American Championships in Athletics was the tenth edition of the international athletics competition between Ibero-American nations which was held at the Estadio Cementos Progreso in Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala on 11 and 12 May. A total of 328 athletes participated in the 44-event programme. The 3000 metres was introduced for both men and women, replacing the longer 10,000 metres event.
Dailenys Alcántara Pacheco is a Cuban track and field athlete who competes in the triple jump and occasionally the long jump. She was the 2007 World Youth champion then became the first person to win two straight triple jump title at the World Junior Championships in Athletics. She represented Cuba at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics.
Javier Illana García is a Spanish diver. He competed in the 3 m springboard event at three Summer Olympics: Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012, where he reached the final. Illana won the bronze medal in the 1m springboard event at the 2010 European Aquatics Championships. Besides his sport career, he also works as a coach at the Spanish diving TV Show "¡Mira Quien Salta!".

Marko Aleksejev is a retired Estonian high jumper. He was selected to compete for the Estonian squad in the men's high jump at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and also trained throughout his athletic career for Audentese Sport Club in Tallinn, under his personal coach Allan Eleranna. In 2005, Aleksejev recorded his personal best jump at 2.28 m from the International High Jump Meet in Bühl, Germany.
Francisco Javier Bermejo Caballero is a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Atlético Madrid. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
