Jean-Kersley Gardenne

Jean-Kersley Gardenne (born 16 February 1972) is a retired Mauritian pole vaulter.

Contents

His personal best jump is 5.50 metres, achieved in June 1996 in Dreux. This is the Mauritian record. [1] He did however have a better indoor mark with 5.60 metres, achieved in January 1998 in Liévin. [2]

Kersley Appou is a former footballer who last played for US Beau-Bassin Rose-Hill in the Mauritian Premier League as a forward. He has also represented Mauritius internationally with Club M. Playing for the national team, Appou scored 10 goals, the most by a Mauritian in the national team's history. On 13 April 2014, at the age of 43 years and 354 days, Appou became the oldest African to play international football, eclipsing the record set by Cameroonian legend Roger Milla at the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

Louis Steven Fabrice Coiffic is a Mauritian sprinter specializing in the 100 metres and 200 metres, who competed in the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2006 African Championships in Athletics. Coiffic is the third fastest 200m sprinter in Mauritius with a time of 20.89 seconds behind Stephan Buckland's 20.06 seconds and Eric Milazar's 20.66 seconds achieved respectively in Paris, France and La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

Caroline Fournier is a retired Mauritian athlete who competed in the discus and hammer throw. She represented her country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney without reaching the final. She was a two-time African champion in the hammer throw and was also a gold medallist at the 1999 All-Africa Games. Fournier also was twice runner-up in the discus at the African Championships and once runner-up in the hammer.
