Jeffrey Whitefoot (born 18 April 1956 in Bedwas, Wales) is a former Wales international rugby union player. Whitefoot played his club rugby for Bedwas and Cardiff and attained 19 international caps. [1] He also made an appearance for the British & Irish Lions against a Rest of the World XV in 1986 and Finally received his Lions cap 32 years later. The presentation took place at Mr Whitefoot's home in Energlyn, Caerphilly after family and friends organised a surprise party – they had to hide the cap for several weeks when it arrived in the post. Jeff also played for a Five Nations XV versus the Overseas Unions in the same year.

R. H. Williams (rugby union) British Lions & Wales international rugby union footballer

Rhys Haydn Williams, born in Cwmllynfell, was a Welsh rugby union lock forward who gained 23 caps for Wales and ten consecutive caps for the British Lions. At club level he played primarily for Llanelli RFC, captaining them for a season. He also represented the Barbarians becoming the most capped Welsh representative of the club. In his later life he became a sports administrator, including the role of vice-president of the Welsh Rugby Union. Rugby historian John Griffiths described Williams as "the finest line-jumper in the world" and "the most accomplished British lock of the 1950s".

Jeffrey Young OBE was a Welsh rugby union player who gained 23 caps for Wales as a hooker between 1968 and 1973.

Jack Bassett was a Welsh international rugby union full back who played club rugby for Penarth. He won 15 caps for Wales and was selected for the 1930 British Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand. He captained the Welsh team on nine occasions.

Five Nations XV v Overseas Unions XV

The Five Nations XV v Overseas Unions XV was a rugby union match played on Saturday, 19 April 1986 to commemorate the centenary of the International Rugby Football Board. The Five Nations XV featured players from England, France, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales who had played in the 1986 Five Nations Championship. The Overseas Unions XV was effectively a World XV and featured players from Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The Overseas Unions XV won the match 32–15. Controversially, the squad included a number of white South Africans at a time when the relationship of rugby union and apartheid was being questioned at high levels.

British Lions v The Rest

British Lions v The Rest was a 1986 rugby union match that saw the British Lions play against 'The Rest' to celebrate the centenary of the International Rugby Football Board. The Rest consisted of players from Australia, France, New Zealand and South Africa. At the time, there were only eight unions affiliated to the Board, thus only players from those countries were chosen. The Rest beat the Lions 15–7 in April 1986 in the match played at Cardiff Arms Park.

Kenneth "Ken" Henry Llewellyn Richards was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Bedwas RFC, Cardiff RFC and Bridgend RFC, as a fly-half, i.e. number 10, and club level rugby league (RL) for Salford. Noted for his drop-goals, Ken Richards would often take penalties and conversions using the drop goal method rather than placing the ball, during September 1961 he scored a drop goal penalty against Doncaster from 55 yards.
